  • sign up for a run and then find a training schedule (www.runnersworld.com or halhigdon.com) I find that if I have a scheduled run and have to train that I am more motivated to get out there and do it!

  • I recently did the St. Louis half marathon with some friends, we did a 12 week training program (google Hal Higdon half marathon). I also have never really ran more than 4 miles previously. I felt that I was completely ready, and we all finished. It was a great experience, I am already training for another one. Good luck!

  • First of all, you can have to laugh, because healthiest aclholic beverages is kind of an oxymoron. But when I go for the low calorie drinks, I stick to gin & tonics or Michelob Ultra, I also hear that the lowest calorie drink is vodka and club soda, add a splash of cranberry juice for extra flavor if needed.

  • i have also been kind of stuck for the last couple weeks, sometimes something that helps is changing just one thing about your diet, I cut out bread, pasta and rice, and started eating more fruit and salads and that helped me shed a couple pounds
