  • Okay, got my 2,500 step goal for the day! Small victories and all that....
  • I've read all of the posts and I am still confused about one thing. I walked for 30 minutes on the treadmill. My neurologist says I must keep my heart rate ~100 due to seizure activity, and it was between 108 and 111 as reported by the Charge HR and the treadmill itself. There is no exercise logged on MFP today, though.…

  • I just got my fitbit hr and an aria yesterday, and a treadmill a couple of days before that. I started today following that challenge on the MFP blog, 10,000 steps in 30 days. I actually did more than the 2000 you're supposed to do on day 1 because I didn't realize the fitbit wasn't recording steps for almost 15 minutes.…

  • Ohhh ok... I used MFP a few years ago and you could add them right to your signature :)
  • question: how do you get the ticker factory tickers to show in your signature?
  • I'll jump in, but my treadmill won't be completely assembled before Friday or Saturday. I will be a total couch to ANY miles, so I don't know if I'll get to 100 but I'll do my best! I'm also doing the 30 day walking challenge on the blog.
  • I will start either Friday or Saturday... my treadmill hasn't been fully assembled yet LOL

  • Oh I weigh and measure all of the things I eat. What I meant was the extra steps you have to take to weigh an empty pan, cook the food, re-weigh the pan (which is now hot) and divide the result into X portions as stated by the recipe. I wish the book would just have given serving sizes along with the recipes :)
  • I have no problem with the nutrition values, since MFP does that for me... what I have trouble with is dividing the cooked item into X portions. I cooked one recipe last night, turkey breast tenders parmesan. It is for 4 servings, but how do you determine how much one serving is when looking at a pan full of food? I'm sure…
  • I just started with the system in this book today, so we'll see what happens! I have what has been called Metabolic Syndrome and Syndrome X, which is a combination of type II diabetes, high blood pressure, a lot of fat around the waist, and high cholesterol. After controlling the diabetes for 15 years with Metformin, my…

  • I hope to start this soon, within the week. This is my second attempt at losing a lot of weight. I doubt I'll even be able to keep up for 10 minutes at first but I will keep at it!
