I am starting mine January 6th unless I get it before then.

I never had a custom made one, but they are my favorite sports bras. I had a reduction 4 years ago and before that, they were the only one's that held me together. They are pricy, so if you can afford one, buy it and try it out.

Strength training and cardio! You will tone up, but your weight may be a bit higher than you want, but your clothes will fit better. Also, it is nice to have a size in mind, but also frustrating at the same time because not all companies sizes fit the same ( as I am sure you know this already). Set small goals and aim for…

I was advised to eat fruit in the morning so that the body can break down all the sugars throughout the day. Hopefully that is helpful :)

I used it 4 years ago and I lost 71lbs while on Weight Watchers and working out 6-7 times a week. It gave me a lot of energy and but it did mess with my sleep, sometimes. I kept the weight off after I stopped using it until I got a lazy. It is a good jump start, but it's not a long term solution. You need to keep active…

I use to work 11p-7am and I found it helpful to get my workout in around 8 pm for about an hour and then I had more energy to make it through the night. I liked to sleep when I got off work.

I just completed Phase one of 30DS. I find that adding some extra cardio helps with the soreness.

Skip WW and save the money. You will need to do some research how eat right and exercise. WW works if you do the program, but you are paying for new material that changes every few years and you have to buy all new books and you have to pay weekly. Save that money and use it towards excercise videos or a gym membership.…

Thank you for responding. I thought for less than $10 , I would try it.

Did you measure after working out? If so, you may have been a bit puffy from working out. Measure yourself first thing in the morning before you eat or drink anything. Maybe you didn't measure in the same exact place?

A mix of cardio and strength training is going to be most beneficial. Walking is a good start, then you may want to think about running or doing some high interval training. Any activity is going to help you. Measure yourself before you start your workout plan and then measure yourself every few weeks or monthly. Strength…

I had an easier time working out int he mornings during the summer, but now it's winter, I like to work out after I get off work because it gets dark so fast and I don't have much going on when it's cold and snowy out where I live. Then I don't feel like going to bed at 7pm, either.

If you are going to be kickboxing and work out more, add strength training. Measure yourself before and then again in a few weeks. Don't focus on the number on the scale, focus on the inches lost.

I agree you need days off. I use to do 7 days a week and on some days I had 2 different workouts. After I started taking a day off, I noticed a huge improvement in my body and energy level. Too much can make you sick. On those days you don't exercise, you need to learn to how to use less calories. We all have set backs and…

Don't let that be your excuse when it comes to weight loss. It is a hard journey for anyone overweight. It takes hard work and dedication and you have great advice from other black woman on this message board! Best of luck to you!! You can do this!!!

I would work out before I went to work. Then at work, I made it a priority to drink 32-64 oz of water or Powerade lite. I ate fruit, popcorn, and the steamers or cereal. I always kept a box of instant oatmeal for those days it was really cold and I needed something more filling.

I get up at 415am to go workout now that I have an 8-5 job. I hate sitting at my desk, wish it was more active. When I worked other hours like 3-11, I went right when I got up around 9 or 10am and when I worked overnights 11p-7am, I went at 8 pm. It gave me a boost of energy to work through the night, especially because I…

4 years ago I lost 70lbs and my boobs didn't change size, just the band size. I had a breast reduction 3 years ago and it was covered by my health insurance. It was a great decision, I will never regret it. Also, like you I am curvier and my doctor made sure I was still in proportion to my body.

When I was in high school ( 20 years ago), there was a girl who told me I would be so pretty if I lost 20lbs. I wasn't even over weight! I was healthy, I just happend to have curves and boobs unlike every other girl in my class. I loved it when 5 years later she gained 50lbs and wasn't so skinny herself. Unfortunately, it…

Join a class or find some DVD's at garage sales, Goodwill, libraries and sometimes video rental places, if you don't want to buy them. Turbo Jam is one of my favorites. Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred is another. Good luck!

Take your focus off the scale when you are building muscle. This past summer I dropped 2 pant sizes in about 3 weeks and only lost a few pounds. After the 10 week class I was doing, I only dropped 17lbs, but several inches and 2 more pant sizes. Also eating protein and balance carbs will help out a lot. Don't give up…

Maybe eating smaller meals more often during the day will help. Make sure you have protein in a shake or nuts, etc.

You should check to see if there are any farmer's market vouchers where you live. It would help with the grocery bill and you can get fresh produce!
-
Yes, then sometimes my workouts are so intense, I think I never want to eat junk again! lol It doesn't stop me, but it limits me.
-
Strength training is important! This time around, I have strength training added and I haven't lost a bunch of weight, but I have a lot of toning up. I fit into pants in two weeks that would have taken me several lbs to lose just to get them to fit! So far I have lost 3 pant sizes in 7 weeks!

Yoga and other classes are avaliable through community education classes where I live. My friends and I like to do those because they are inexpensive and last 8 weeks for about $40.
-
Great idea!
-
Vanity. Not to expensive and have great sales. My friends who are tall like to shop there because they have length of 37''

Ha! Yes, that has been my world lately with a male friend? When did men lose their "testes" and when did woman grow them?

Anything but Social Work! Ha, I have been doing it for so long. Worked in a Juvenile Detention Center for a very long time, now I work with Senior Citizen's and Medicare. Yawn but rewarding at times. I would love to have a few different jobs, dog walker, housesitter (somewhere glorious) and a tour guide with health…
