winter workout and energy

hello there.

for those of you who are in colder weather now, how do you get the energy to workout? it's darker outside in the mornings, cold. what type of excersize do you do? how do you motivate yourself?

    I work out in the mornings before I go to work. I get up, generally, between 4:30-5 AM on workout days, so it's dark regardless of the time of year. I just get up and do it. It's not too difficult anymore as I've been doing it since April. If you're an outside runner, all I can think of is using a treadmill or finding an alternate type of workout.

    I had an easier time working out int he mornings during the summer, but now it's winter, I like to work out after I get off work because it gets dark so fast and I don't have much going on when it's cold and snowy out where I live. Then I don't feel like going to bed at 7pm, either.
