I've been using Trutein. Calorie count is pretty low for the protein punch. I like it because it allows me to eat comfortably the rest of the day without constantly worrying about how much protein I'm consuming. I like the chocolate truffle. I have the chocolate peanut butter now but I'm not that big of a fan.

CHEMICAL CHICKEN!!! Oh, the memories. That thread was bingo X 1,000. Seriously, I think I filled out three sheets. All I was missing was magic trampolines.

Because it's hard to accept the fact that you have had control over your weight all along. And, also, that food isn't the problem - you are. It's so much easier to blame food than accept responsibility and take the time to understand portion control. And, it's much easier to forgive yourself for your failings when you…

Every time I see threads like this I'm reminded that it's so much better to get in shape and stick with it (even when you don't want to), then to get anxiety about weddings, summer beach time, etc. OP - lose the weight in a healthy way, start a fitness program for body comp, make it part of your every day life and you will…

Well, now that's just laughable. It's well documented that working Americans work harder and have much less time off than workers in similar nations. I actually think that, from a health perspective, this is one of the major culprits. Fast food, frozen meals, prepared meals, drive throughs are abused because they save time…

Thank you so much for leading by example.

If you are eating plenty of calories and protein, then why not open your diary so we can better help you? Because, really, if you are "very hungry" you probably aren't eating enough. Appetite suppressants are not well received around here - and for good reason. They can be dangerous and they don't solve the actual problem.…

Well, I would tell anyone with any kind of addiction to get help.

Wow. In...for science.

Wut? GTFO.

Avoid, avoid, avoid.... :)

Seriously, what? A standard piece of chicken is anywhere from 5-8oz. Hardly a bite. And an egg is a great snack. I think the problems you have had are a reflection of either your lack of knowledge about nutrition and serving size, or a psychological need to binge. I never once mentioned eating less and starving. If you are…

WUT? Where did I say anything about eating less and starving myself of nutrition? How do you make that leap? And you didn't answer my question. You deflected it with a response that literally makes no sense.

This, too. Please don't be that person.

I just had to take a week off because I had a chest infection and allergies all wrapped into one pretty package. I could barely get out of bed, much less work out. I'm a firm believer in resting and getting better so that you kick it sooner, rather than trying to be a hero. I always notice that the people who don't take…

Because calling people horrible is so kind....

Agreed. Why don't adults get naptime? I'll never understand. :'(

This whole darn thread is like...

Overeating Disorder or Binge Eating Disorder may be covered, but not food addiction. Because food addiction has not been proven.

I'm confused about how eating a piece of chicken, or an egg, is going to lead to a junk food binge?
-
How about the eat less, move more diet? Seriously, why not give the MFP way a try?
-
Why are you sabotaging me?
-
Exactly. I don't know the psychological connection with overeating. But I do know that anorexia/bulimia are control disorders. For anorexics, the ability to control one's diet is the coping method for a life that is (or feels) out of control. Bulimics, on the other hand, practice the art of losing control (bingeing) and…

I think binge eating and mindless eating probably get confused a lot. When I was anorexic/bulimic, I would not eat and then binge like crazy and then throw up. Rinse, wash, repeat. It got much worse than this actually. That binge is nonsensical. You will spend any amount of money, time, resources to get your hands on an…

Well, I guess it's been a while since we had this thread...

Well, damn. Let's just throw some sausage in there and go to hell with ourselves, shall we? Obviously, it's lunchtime haha. :D
