I usually take a vegetable/fruit tray to any potluck to make sure I have something healthy to eat. I have also found that when I take a bag of baked chips or Kellogs cracker chips, they are usually the first thing gone. People want to eat healthy when it is available to them... If they don't have the option they will gorge…

I noticed this as well when I weighed 375... I could "tread water" upright without moving my arms or legs. When I would breath in, I would raise out of the water about 6 inches and when I exhaled I would drop down, but never go under. Now, however, I have to work to stay afloat. But that is a tradeoff I will make EVERY…

Not sure... I know it is very hard to eat at BW3s... not very many low calorie options on their menu. I remember about a year ago they added the calories to the menu on every item... it lasted about a week before they switched back to the old menus. People were complaining that they didn't want to know how many calories…

Get an air popper and put parmesan cheese or a little salt and pepper on it... great snack that isn't fattening, and you can control the salt content. I am bad when it comes to chips... I buy them innocently, but for some reason when I open the bag... I eat the WHOLE BAG! It is a problem. Being a single guy, though, I can…

If you try through photobucket, there is a sidebar to share along the right hand side when you open an image... Use the one to Share as image (should start out with URL)... just click that and paste it into the message, and it should work...

Thanks... I guess the entire collage image is there... you would just have to grab it to see it all LOL... It is cutting off three months.

Seriously... hope it fits this time...

Let's try the before again... and the collage again...

Here are some photos of my weight loss... Before... Collage of the first year... Me in my old pants... Me in February... It has been quite the journey!

I have gone from 375 down to 210 over the past 18 months... it is a battle every day, but one I like to think I am winning! Just set small goals and when you achieve them make more. Makes it easier to try to lose 5-10 lbs. than thinking about needing to lose 100+. I now need to work on building muscle. Would love to share…

What I do when I feel like giving up or having something I shouldn't, I ask myself "Is eating this worth putting the weight back on?" The answer is almost ALWAYS NO! So I put it down and walk away. Sometimes I have a lapse in judgment, but I try not to let 1 or 2 bad decisions snowball into a week of bad decisions. Always…

How much is a "crap ton" of water? :D

I used to hate veggies as well, but I have slowly added them in over the past year and a half, and now I like things I never thought I would. Asparagus, Zuchinni, Brussel Sprouts, etc. If you roast them in a pan, or pan fry them in a little EVOO on the stove with the right seasonings it tastes wonderful! And they are all…

It is ok to have bad days every once in a while... just don't let it snowball into an every day thing. That is how weight gets put back on. If you get back on track tomorrow, that weight should come off over the next few days.

It is "real weight" but not from fat... it is just the weight of the food/liquid you just consumed.

Depending on where you are on your weight loss journey depends on how often you should weigh. When I first started I weighed in once a week every Friday morning right when I woke up (Important to do it at the same time every day, and first thing when you wake up is good because you have no food/water from the day in you).…

Take it one meal and workout at a time. Make the right choices each time you pick something up to eat, and you are sure to succeed! You CAN do it!

Just tell them that you are cutting back on going out so that you can focus on your weight loss, and just go out with them maybe once a week, or a couple times a month. If they are your friends, they should be understanding. But, as far as them eating/drinking, etc. you can't avoid that. I eat before I go out with my…

I should be getting my watch back soon, then I need to start running more... brc912 ADD me!

I find that when I hit a plateau it helps to have a really bad day... just one. Then get right back on it. It seems to jumpstart something within my body. I may gain a couple of pounds, but then it falls off and takes a few pounds with it... Good luck!

Part of the problem of letting your child trick-or-treat at strangers houses is you have no control over what they are given by any particular house... don't want your kids to get nasty letter? Don't let them go to stranger's houses. Not saying she isn't mean spirited for thinking of doing this, but it doesn't really…

I had to go through 2-3 rounds of replacing my wardrobe... The first time I waited too long, and ended up dropping from a 56 to a 44... Now, I just buy 1-2 pairs of jeans every time I lose a size and am slowly stepping myself down. So I own 36s, 38s and 40s... once I buy a new pair at 34 I will "retire" my 40s! If you are…

Aim to win each individual meal, and if you fall off the bandwagon one meal, make sure you succeed in the next meal. Don't let one bad decision snowball into a bad day/week/month/year... that is how you end up gaining everything back...

yes, as long as you select to allow other's to use it before you save... otherwise it just ends up in your "My Foods" section.
