I've suffered from hypoglycemia for over 20 years now. For me a Zone diet works best so, that's what I set my goals for. I'm definitely not perfect, but the closer I get to these goals the better I feel. My food diary is open, Feel free to check it out for ideas and/or add me as a friend. =)

Swiss Miss Diet Cocoa (only 25 calories and is a good source of calcium) and South Beach Whipped Chocolate Almond Protein bar (100 calories) do it for me when I have a nonspecific chocolate craving.

Based on your goal calories for the day the amount you're eating at breakfast seems fine, you could even eat more. If you swap some frozen berries for the raisins, you'll end up with less carbs. I usually cycle between homemade leftover soups, a huge chefs salad, or a sandwich (Sara Lee Delightful wheat bread, low fat mayonnaise with olive oil or mustard, sandwich meat, romaine lettuce) carrots, dill pickle spear, and either a low fat yogurt or an apple.

I have a Polar FT60. It works great. If you just want an accurate heart rate monitor without a lot of extra features, the Polar FT4 would probably work just fine for you and it's about half the price of the FT60. I bought mine from this site and they have the FT4 on sale this week…
