  • 15-16K most days and 20k on the weekends. I average about 50 miles a week of exercise steps.
  • 5'6.5 in SW: 280 CW: 158 GW:150 or so As long as I get to 154 and see the normal BMI I am not too concerned with weighing less.
  • Yeah, I'll go against the majority and say I never weigh my meat raw, always cooked. Have lost 120lbs and counting (10 to go). I never eat more than 2 oz beef in say tacos so I'm sure it's not that much of a difference. As far as chicken, if it says 4 oz, then I'm counting it as 4 oz. I can not worry about small caloric…
  • 150 because I've never seen that number before and it means a normal BMI. I don't need to be super thin. I'm at 160 now. Maybe 149.....
  • Yes, my husband has been told he is pre-diabetic several times. He has lost weight, and lost his diagnosis. Then gained weight and got it back. This last year his level was 6.0 after weight loss. He is predisposed due to his family. However, he has went on to lose more weight and will have a recheck in May. My husband is…
  • I have had hip pain for nearly 3 years. Been through xrays, mri, PT, to an orthopedic surgeon and a sports medicine doctor. I have mild hip dysplasia and the surgeon "thought" a labral tear, although cannot prove without surgery. Tests all inconclusive. Sports medicine doc said not to mess with surgery if the cause is…
  • I hear this ALL.THE.TIME about parenting. My kids are very smart and in special classes because of it. I get to hear it must be easy raising such smart kids. Um, its just like raising um, kids. Them being smart doesn't help me raise them. My oldest has high functioning autism. There is NOTHING easy about that. But, because…
  • I have diverticulitis also, however, I eat normal 100% of the time. My only real avoidance is strawberry, raspberry and blackberry seeds. Otherwise, I am good. My two attacks were from eating seeds. Popcorn and nuts are fine. My understanding is that you only have problems when things get stuck in the "pouches" and they…
  • I was always a heavier kid. Tallest in my class and bigger than all the other girls. As I got older, I thinned out but was always 'Big". Graduated high school at 167, which obviously didn't make me the biggest person in the world, but... When I was 16, my childhood friend was found murdered and I was there when he took his…
  • I also wanted to add about 8 was when my son gained about 15 lbs in a year also. There is absolutely nothing medically wrong with him.
  • I don't know. How tall is your son? My 9 year old son is currently 4'11 1/2 and weighs 97lbs. He's technically overweight. As he been about 96/97 lbs for the past year so it was worse before his height increase. But, if he gains 1/2 in ( 5ft), he's back to normal! He has always been very tall (98th) but just this past year…
  • https://www.cookinglight.com/recipes/chicken-fajitas-1 This is an awesome recipe if you like chicken fajitas and beer.
  • If I am at the gym, then its "is this over yet". If I am outside, I am just paying attention to my surroundings, my dog, neighbors, wildlife, etc... and possibly "is this over yet".
  • Are you at work? If so, then it could be easier or harder depending on what you do to stay away from food with distractions. I am home off and on all day, so I busy myself with "stuff". The kitchen is never far away but as long as I remain consistently busy then I forget the food is here. As soon as I become sedentary, my…
  • 14 g of pretzel thins (50 cal) or 28 g for 100 cal 1 tbsp hummus (40 cal) 3 oz of baby carrots (35 cal) Sometimes I do a banana or a 80 cal yogurt with string cheese. Just depends on what's available and what sounds good.
  • I had started running off and on for a few years. I started having hip pain (1.5 yrs at this point) and they diagnosed me with trochanter bursitis. They wanted to give me cortisone shots, but I declined. I saw an orthopedic surgeon who also diagnosed me with minor hip dysplasia in my right hip. He said he "thought" I may…
  • I struggle with myself. I self-sabotage myself when I get close to goals I set (169 is the new one). I have never been super calorie restrictive and never lost a ton of weight fast, but lost it nonetheless (280 to 170 now). I am definitely an 'everything in moderation" person and never "all-'in" because I can't live the…
  • Brunch after a 6 mile walk: Grilled halibut over mushroom/pea risotto, 2 mimosas, coffee Dinner: Homemade sourdough pizzas w/salad Snack: banana, WW protein bar
  • Zip! ZERO! and I am ok with that! I have a rotator cuff issue and impingement syndrome in my shoulder so no weight bearing activities. Although, I wouldn't do it anyways. Not my thing!
  • I take mine in the morning also.
  • I have a hip issue, and the Sports Medicine Dr specifically told me to use the recumbent bike to help with the pain. It has helped my pain a lot. I can do the elliptical but it bothers my hip after about 25 min. I am not allowed to run or jog anymore. Walking is a go but I notice if I walk too much, too many days in a row,…
  • I use MFP for the calories and I use WW for the meetings. Meetings keep me accountable!
  • I had my activity set to sedentary, I changed it to lightly active. That increased my calories to 1590 from 1390. I get about 10k exercise steps per day and then an extra 5K from regular life stuff. I was sometimes eating my exercise calories but was trying not to. I switched it so that I would eat at least 200 extra…
  • No condiments , even mayo, because IF I use any, its barely an 1/8 of a teaspoon or less. I don't always accurately log vegetables. No spices or marinades. No vitamins or pills. No olive oil or cooking spray. I have managed to lose 100 lbs. Not too concerned about these things.
  • I've had two flare-up since my diagnosis in 2009. Both times because of strawberries. I cannot eat berries unless they are blueberries. Nuts, corn, popcorn, are all ok for me. I've had to go on antibiotics both times when it occurred.
  • 5'6.5in 184.7 lbs BMI: 29.8 Large top, even a medium or XL now and then depending on brand and style. And a 12 jean.
  • For me, its my self sabotage. I get to say 190 and then I see 189 and something in my mind clicks off. I will stay at 189, 190, 191 for what seems like FOREVER (2 yrs). Then I lost 10 more lbs (Sept.-now)and I am stuck at the same 179, 180, 181. I cannot seem to get past the barrier. This started after I got under 200 lbs…
  • I also developed GD in my first pregnancy but not in my subsequent ones. I followed the diet very closely and only gained a total of 9 lbs. I delivered my daughter via emergency c-section from complications with the cord. She was 9 days late. I delivered with a regular OB in a regular hospital.
  • I lost weight when I joined back in 2001, 2004. 45 lbs I think total. I had kept the first 20 off and then when I rejoined I lost another 25. I lost weight on my own through MFP starting in 2013, 55 lbs. My friend asked me to join WW with her last Sept. I did but I still track through here. I have lost an additional 15 lbs…
  • I have lost 60 lbs this time (100 lbs total) but when I started with the current 60 I was about a 5.75 and I just got my ring resized last week and its a 4.5.
