Yeesss! It's been so motivating for my runs. Whenever I don't wanna go I just think "but I need to hatch my eggs!"

Getting faster! The less dead weight I have, the better running feels.

I used to do 24-48 hour water fasts often enough when I was religious. That time frame isn't big enough to cause any major stomach problems when breaking fast. You should be fine as long as you stay away from foods that are too greasy or cause acid reflux.

Sometimes! I'm generally unhappy with my appearance, but I think I look worse clothed than in my underoos. Some days, throwing on the extra pretty lacy numbers is a good pick-me-up!
-
Honestly? I just feel worthless. At least I'd be good for something if I was pretty.

I have clinical depression and unfortunately, exercise has never made me feel better. It's just something I have to force myself to do every day like brushing my teeth and showering. It's the weirdest thing. I was a lightweight division rower at the onset of my depression; it was disturbing to wake up one morning and feel…

Hi there! I'm queer too :D Shot you a request! I'm also open to anyone else who wants to add me. Do any of you have to deal with nonsupporting families? Mine is very religious/traditional and it's been rough, especially near the holidays. I got depressed and fell off the wagon in December 'cause they didn't want me there.

I was down to 113.5 on Friday, but my sodium has been high these past few days so I've shied away from the scale. So close to 110!
-
I want winter to stay! I hate the sun. When it gets bright out, I can't run outside without sweating off my sunscreen and getting burned. :(
-
I have depression. Feel free to add me. I still haven't found a way to manage it properly, but I've been able to work in exercise and a better diet.
-
I don't find it motivating, but I'll take any excuse to look at pretty ladies. :)

Highest weight: 147 lbs Current weight: 116 lbs Goal weight: 100-110 lbs Height: Just under 5'2" Age: 25

It's not that great! Shoes are still expensive, and every extra pound shows.

Not sure if it counts, but I'm basically the opposite: gay lady who's getting in shape to defy the obese lesbian stereotype. I mean, it isn't my primary motivation, but it does help. I do have male friends who have complained about not meeting the grindr ideal. Some (mostly femmes) just accept that they don't look like…

Wow, we're twins! Same height, weight, and goal. I've also got a very small bone structure-- I fit into child-sized shoes, gloves and hats. I'm hoping that a lower weight range will look better. Feel free to add me!

If I don't have time to do everything I need to do, I arrange my goals in order of importance and do what I can. Meds are always at the top of the list. If I have to choose between taking my meds and doing literally anything else, meds win. Food is next. I'm very terrible about cooking and cleaning, so I tend to mostly eat…

Hey there! I also have depression and ADHD. It's a real struggle, but what helps me is keeping a small list of goals for each day. Exercise is also extremely important-- it's the only thing that clears my head. It doesn't really help my depression, but burning through my energy helps me focus and keeps me from getting…

I've been on a few different types. I've never had a problem losing weight on birth control, but some made me bloated and gave me acne. (My current pill made my boobs bigger for a while, which was nice, but didn't last!) Overall, birth control can't make you gain or lose weight unless you're eating the calories associated…

Hey there! I'm pretty into video games (which you could probably tell from my handle, haha). I also like anime/manga, and have been reading ASoIaF. I'm open to anyone who wants to add me. Let's be friends!

Thanks to everyone who replied! It takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours, depending on how fast I go. I wear a pedometer. Googling it brings up a study saying that it's a pretty accurate one. But going on one walk a day really doesn't feel like a lot of work, especially since I spend nearly the whole rest of the day on my butt.

Thanks for replying! I spend most of the day sitting because I tend to get most of my steps in one go. I go out on a trail every morning, which is about 12,000 steps, then get the other ~3000 going about my day. I only run the trail maybe 3 days a week. While walking it pulls a lot of steps, it isn't very vigorous, and I…

I make it into a game! My pedometer has little games on it that unlock as I take more steps, and Zombies, Run! on my phone is a blast.
-
Hi! Feel free to add me. What are your interests? I find that I have the most motivation when I incorporate fitness into the things I already like.

I've heard of people who receive discounts on the surgery if they arrange it through a burn treatment center with the intent to donate. Maybe look into that?

My biggest weakness is visiting friends. My two closest friends are both bakers, so even if I'm just hanging out at their places there are always tons of homemade sweets! I get around it by looking up food before it goes in my mouth and planning how much I can have beforehand. If it's something very calorie-dense and…

If you're female, stalling once a month due to fluctuations in water retention is perfectly normal. It's a side effect of the menstrual cycle. If you're sure it's not water, then make sure you're extra diligent about weighing and logging every bite.

I use a pedometer. Reaching 12,000-15,000 steps per day is a pretty simple goal that keeps me moving. It's hard to binge on Netflix at the park! As for resisting donuts: I don't buy them. I'll have sweets and other junk when I'm out with friends, but it stays out of my home. That way, it stays a small treat instead of a…

I've been doing ~1200 cal per day, too. Things are going pretty smoothly! I'm cool with anyone who has similar goals adding me. Have any of you read this forum? It has lots of great recipes: https://www.reddit.com/r/1200isplenty/

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I'll stay inside. I'm not too concerned about making progress on my runs. That can wait until I'm better. I'm just really bored! I have my books and video games, but it's so nice outside today that I keep wanting out.

Thank you very much! Those exercises look helpful. Part of my skepticism was that the instruction booklet that came with the bands had a list of workouts for "toning" and spot reduction, which set my bullish*t meter off. These look more useful! Try your local thrift store? I think that's where my aunt got hers (before they…
