I use a pedometer. Reaching 12,000-15,000 steps per day is a pretty simple goal that keeps me moving. It's hard to binge on Netflix at the park!

As for resisting donuts: I don't buy them. I'll have sweets and other junk when I'm out with friends, but it stays out of my home. That way, it stays a small treat instead of a binge. And sweets are more fun when you can share with friends!

Remind yourself why you started and how far you've come!

Looking down at myself when I'm shirtless, which is usually, and seeing a gut and moobs instead of a 6 pack and bulging pectoral muscles. Having said that, if I want a donut I'll fit it into my daily calorie goal and consume with glee.

motivation is an overrated emotion that will always ebb and flow. you don't need motivation, you need discipline. discipline leads to consistency and consistency is what ultimately wins the day.

also, nothing wrong with having a doughnut now and then...just had one yesterday and i'm pretty damned healthy and fit. i binged watched some t.v. last sunday...i'm no worse for the wear. maybe take look at the bigger picture here and get out of the minutia.
