  • If you eat too little for too long your body WILL stop losing. I increased my macros/calories have started losing again. If you hit a plateau try tweaking your nutrition and workouts to get back on track. Don't worry until there is a reason to worry. If your steadily losing and trending down then there isn't an issue!
  • If you are recovering for anorexia, I think the best thing for you to do would be to focus on just eating healthy, and strength training for the time being. I'm sure you are probably pretty weak, and still healing so try to eat a lot of protein veggies and even carbs. You don't need any fatburning cardio right now
  • In my opinion your TDEE should be okay as long as you are making sure there are healthy clean foods going in! Make sure you eat those calories burned back so that your muscles will have the nourishment they need. A lot of the diet plan does have many choices that might be beneficial to you :)
  • I hope so too! I just finished my first week of Phase 1, so I may not be able to answer some of your question but I have been lifting prior to starting this program so I would be happy to help :)
  • I just started this Tuesday and it is going great so far! I'm following the diet pretty closely and have been eating the egg whites in the morning and mixing in chicken and broccoli, delcious!! I did have to add some cardio in just to help motivate me!
  • Quite the opposite, I dont waste my time at the gym by messing around and doing random machines and workouts. I have a goal to reach and my time is precious. I have been lifting for a month now splitting upper body and lower body. I'm working on form each time I do lift. I'm concerned I'm not lifting heavy enough though. I…
  • Thank you for this when I have more time later today I will go and read all that I can :) although I'm sure some will take this as a stupid question. Is there any certain diet I need to stick in order to tone up and keep my muscles strong? I'm not overweight so I do try to eat healthier but I am not on a strict diet. I…
  • I really enjoy free weights, and have already been splitting body groups, I'm starting tomorrow so I hope all will go well :)
  • Exactly.... its not AMERICAN slang, so no we aren't familiar with your British slang form of "taking the piss". No we don't live in a cave, ect. We are American not British so we simply do not care about your slang terms, but Hey I guess we all learned something new about piss today. How exciting!
  • Oh goodness.... this is pointless and completely ridiculous. First off people are going to be mean, you can't stop them. Some think they are better than others, some are insecure, some are just unhappy, and for some that is just their personality. There are lots of rude people on here. I've been called rude myself by…
  • Measure inches.... forget the scale look at that once a month.
  • 1200? bad idea. You may lose the weight but you will not be strong, you will not have more energy, you most likely will not be happy with your results. A bit of advice calculate your Tdee eat 15-20% less than that, and YES eat back your calories that you burn! Your muscles need this to grow and maintain all the work you…
  • The majority of the time this is what happens, it doesn't seem that her friend is making a lifestyle change, simply trying to lose weight. There's quite a difference between the two. But oh well I could be wrong, her friend could be an exception. And can lose weight eating cake her whole life, and if that is what makes her…
  • Nothing wrong with eating things you love..... but self control along with portion control is a huge deal. I love cake and ice-cream but I'm not going to eat it until I am sick to my stomach. I allow myself treats, but the majority of my food is healthy, and helps my body function the way it needs to.
  • Your welcome, and for the very reason that you want to lead a healthy lifestyle please do make sure that most of your calories are coming from food with healthy benefits. I don't care what anyone is saying about a calorie deficit, you want a healthy lifestyle and that doesn't include eating constant junk food. Bigger…
  • But you want to live a healthy lifestyle.... and no matter what your calorie deficit is, if you are constantly eating whatever you want and that includes a whole lot of junk then your body won't be able to function to its best ability. And yes weight loss will be harder because your body is full of crap. Stick to your…
  • Don't worry about her... your doing things right and not taking a short cut! I completely understand your rant. I don't think there is some hidden agenda such as you don't really like your food that your eating or whatever, blah blah blah! Point blank its annoying, because you are doing what you are supposed to. And she's…
  • Just like anything else that seems to good to be true it probably is... Its easy to make money off of these gimmicks that everyone and their mother will try. But if you want long term results take the road less traveled and change your life yourself... Nothing besides hard work is going to take away fat, and certainly not…
  • THIS.
  • Not sure what results you are hoping for whether it is weight-loss, or general fitness. However, weightlifting is certainly worth every little bit of sweat produced by your body. If your not willing to sweat, your not going to get the results you want in the long run. Sweating is a sign that your body is working correctly,…
  • That is very low for calorie intake, have you calculated your Tdee number?
  • We are just about twins... I'm currently 126 lbs, 5'5, and 22 yo Find out your tdee number, and then eat 20% less to loose weight Focus on portion size and healthy clean foods & WATER. I started going to the gym two months, ago and have lost maybe 5-6 pounds... Not a lot right? Well thats only because I've been gaining…
  • My scale hasn't moved in a month and a half. I gain muscle (heavier than fat), and still loose fat, thus little weight change. And not something to be concerned about. If you want to see changes take measurements, muscle takes up less room than fat. And DO NOT down your calories, your going to slow your process, your…

  • I love when the women with 10 pounds of make up on and hair that is perfectly done, while walking on the treadmill stare at you like your crazy for actually WORKING OUT... I didn't come for a fashion show I came to workout...
  • All she is saying is that yes, some women are curvy and beautiful, but there are also women that are obese and try to say that excess fat is curves, to make themselves feel better. And you don't sound horrible btw its just the honest to Gods truth. And it goes both ways, there are lots of in shape people bashed for being…
  • I am doing some crunches, body weight side bends, cable crunches, planks, & reverse crunches. I'm not sure how I could do an hours worth If you have any exercises that I haven't already incorporated I'd love to hear them, I'm always up for more ab workouts!

  • Cardio= Endurance/Heart health/Lung health/ Fat loss Weightlifting= Strength/fatloss No one should give up cardio, or weightlifting both are so very vital for your body. Cardio builds your endurance, betters your lung and heart making the stronger, and you more healthier. Cardio and Lifting both burn body fact and increase…
