She has a lot of great information, thanks for sharing with me. :)

@Nezz123 thank you. I am a total cupcake too! I'm going to give your suggestions a try and see how they work out. Thanks :)

@StealthHealth ... so far my routine is walking on the treadmill with a brief (very brief) jog in the middle. I'm just starting out, but I know because of 3 C-sections, I need ab help desperately. I don't need a 6-pack, however, a little firmness in the belly would make me happy.

Hi Pat. I agree that food is everywhere. It's crazy. We rely on food too much for rewards, comfort, etc. I'm grateful too that food is abundant and we are not lacking, however, I would prefer it to not be everywhere I turn...LOL

Hi Al, glad to meet you. I have lost 50 and have about another 100ish more to go.

Don't give up! It's so unbelievably hard to start a program...any program. The first few weeks are HARD! After that, it does get easier. The best thing, motivation or not, is to just get up and exercise. The motivation is the feel good feeling that comes after the workout. Eventually, you will crave that feeling and it…

Honestly, that sounds like a water weight issue. Did you have a lot of high sodium foods over the weekend?

I sometimes have to push myself to exercise. If I am really struggling to do it, I will just take a family walk outside.

Hi. My name is Jen. 1. Where were you born? Worcester, Massachusetts (USA) 2. Where do you live at the moment? Barre, Massachusetts (USA) 3. Where else have you lived? Northboro, MA; Peabody, MA; Leominster, MA 4. What is your current occupation? What is your dream occupation? I am an LPN on a dementia unit. I start my RN…

Not from Paris, France. Not even close (Barre, MA) :) I would like to be buddies. I have a gym membership, but it's on hold for the summer. I will be resuming it soon. I have been doing at home workouts with the kids. I'm just getting back to MFP after a crazy back-to-school time. Focusing on my health from this point…

I understand your frustration. It's so hard to lose weight and keep motivated. How did you figure your calorie count? Did you use MFP or another app? Working out at the gym is great. I'll send you a friend request. We can do this together.

Don't give up. Maybe you should have an appointment with your Doctor to check your hormone levels? A hypoactive thyroid will make losing weight really hard.

Hi, I would love to be friends. Jen

Hey, I'm Jen. I'd love to be an 'encouragement buddy'.

I wear a heart rate monitor when I workout so I know how many calories I burn. Also, make sure you are eating enough calories so your body doesn't think it's starving and hold onto the weight.

Hi, I'd be glad to friend you. We all need support on this journey. I live in MA and have three kids (14, 12, 3). I work full time and go to Nursing School. How about you? What do you do for a living? How old are your kids?

Have you thought about doing a program at home that offers low impact modifiers to ease stress on your knees. I am doing one now that I like. My knees are bad (from the time I was a kid). I wear a brace on my left when I work out and occasionally on my right if it's acting up. They creak and crack, my kids look at me funny.

Hi, I'm Jen. I've been doing myfitnesspal off and on. Lately, more on then off. I've lost 10 pounds since May. I'm okay with that. Slow and steady, right? It's nice to meet you. No, I can't access the community from my phone either. Kind of stinks, but what can you do? I'm married and I have three kids. I work full time as…

Hi. I have a lot to lose too. Don't be discouraged, we can only go one day at a time. Just be a little better than you were yesterday.
