I'm starting with over 100 pounds to lose and started weight training with a trainer so I do it right. It's only been a month and I can already feel the difference in EVERYTHING! I sleep better, I have more energy, and I've lost 11 pounds, but my body feels different, like it's already tightening up. I look forward to…

How long have you been doing it and have you still consistently been losing weight?

and yes, your body adjusts to the new calories once you've been at it for a while. I'm in the middle of a diet break right now because of that, eating at maint. for 2 weeks because my losses stalled. People get around this by changing things up. Fluctuating high and low calorie days, changing their work out routines etc..…

There is a thing called "skinny fat'. There are people who are thin, naturally thin, can eat anything and don't really gain anything. If these people are inactive and eating poorly, they can die of the EXACT SAME obesity related diseases as someone who is heavy. Exercise keeps your bones, muscles, and organs healthy.

I leave my HRM on for my strength workout and it stays between 120 and 130 the whole time so I COUNT IT!

I'm in but.... will message you :)

http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/the-full-diet-break.html http://www.leighpeele.com/diet-break-plan GOD I hope so, because I'm a week into my "diet break" Same deal, I've lost 50 since January 1st, but only about 5 has come off in the past 8 weeks or so. Makes sense that your body gets used to fewer calories and…

I agree! I'm in coastal North Carolina and it is USUALLY over 100 degrees every day by now but it's been in the mid-80s to low 90s every day... I shouldn't be complaining about this, but it also took a long time to get this warm in the first place. "summer" usually starts by mid-May here and then I was still wearing a…

Definitely agree that it's needed, but there is plenty of it in foods without adding extra! And yes, it's definitely water weight, but when you're trying so hard to lose and eating within those calories and then hop on the scale and see a 2-5 pound GAIN, it's hard to recover from mentally for a lot of people. Especially…

Sodium can make a HUGE difference. I weigh every morning and a high sodium day can make a 5lb. gain overnight! Eat lots of dark leafy greens to counteract the sodium if you have trouble giving it up :)

Great job and great advice! There are a LOT of days when the hardest part of the workout is putting on the sports bra and tennis shoes. Just DO IT! :)
-
WOWZA!! You look great! Love seeing the pics of the journey!

Awesome, thank you everyone! I did 3 sets of 15 reps for EVERYTHING today. Took FOREVER. Going to take the advice of @AzDak and stick with this a couple weeks to get used to the fact that I'm using muscles now I didn't know I had. Then I'm going to start upping the weight so that 2 sets is enough via @Xdoodlebugger and…

I'm always slightly over in proteins and sometimes carbs as well. I wasn't planning to log my weight training stuff but I guess I need to to make sure I'm getting enough carbs and protein? Does it adjust for that?? Fatigue the muscle, got it :) Thanks guys!

Cake batter with a very tall glass of whole milk. I usually only drink skim and people will say (who know I drink skim) "isn't whole milk disgusting??" and I reply, um NO it's FREAKING DELICIOUS. Especially with cake batter! lol

Peanut butter and "fluff" (marshmallow cream) sandwich or Peanut butter and sour cream and onion chip sandwich.... PS. this was NOT what I was expecting when I clicked on this thread! *blushing*

No worries! Your body WILL get used to it and you won't have to go as often. Before I started I'd wake up 2-3 times in the night to go, now I sleep like a baby all night and go first thing in the morning A LOT.... and this is while drinking 8-15 eight oz. glasses a day of water! Your body is getting rid of toxins, it's a…

I LOVE THIS POST!!! SO freakin' happy for you and I DON'T EVEN KNOW YOU!!! Awesome job, happy shopping!

I had lost 35 pounds before anyone said anything who didn't already know I was losing. Sometimes I think people are afraid to say anything because they are kindof saying that you were big in the first place and don't want to offend! I agree with others, if they see you every day they might not see it as quickly as someone…

This is what I do as well, and usually I do stay within calories, but remember, if you didn't cook it you probably will gain water weight for a couple days due to sodium!
-
You forgot a third one that one day we'll be together. #3. I USED to be fat, but now I'm not.
-
Amazing job! Congrats :)

PS. I'm right in the middle at 5'4 1/2" lol

Exactly, I have latina curves and wanna keep them! I'd look sickly if I weighed 127. I'm shooting for 160 and seeing how I feel/look from there.

If you follow it and eat healthy, you will lose weight and feel good. It doesn't really track all the nutrients the way MFP does though, so you're not necesarily eating well. I lost more with it when I zigzagged. I was alloted 35 points, some days I would eat 28, others 33, others 36. Same thing seems to work for calories…

I'm a teacher and a mommy and I UNDERSTAND! I do not have any more room for teacher mugs in my cupboard! haha As a mom, at Christmas, I bake cheesecakes for my children's teachers. They LOVE them! I would say anything homemade would be definitely appreciated. As a teacher, I will add that no matter what the gift is, it's…
