Totally agree with you. Great commitment to yourself!

We live with our food scale. Problem is, my eyes and stomach seem to think a proper portion size is about 5x a real portion size. Along with eating better - not eating out -, drinking water, and getting regular exercise, not only do I feel better, but look much better. If you have problems with portion sizes, you must use…

Hello all, Just joined the 50 group 2 days ago and I feel better than I have most of my life. Glad to be here. Lisa from Santa Barbara

OMG, so so so happy to hear your story. Regarding weight, we usually only hear from those who have been heavy all their life and it's always a struggle. The struggle is hard for all of us and recognizing it is half the battle. Also having a mental image as thin most of my life, it took someone sending me a picture last…

Every single day logger here, too. I think I just hit 405 - began 6/9/12 and haven't missed a day.

Just over a year ago, I was considering it and didn't know what else I was going to do. I was getting sicker and sicker. But then I thought long and hard and decided to see what I could do by myself in a year. Now, I am very thankful that I waited, because I don't have the surgical issues to deal with. If you can do it by…

Awesome! You've got this under control now and you've got the reins in your hands. :flowerforyou:

I do not eat back my exercise calories. I don't have any regular activity that people who work may - I'm on disability. So, the only real deficit I can create is from my exercise. Although I've been stuck for almost 2 months now, at least I am maintaining. The only reason I've been stuck is my SCIATICA is causing me to not…

Just bought cauliflower yesterday and picky daughter is at school. I'm on my way to the kitchen to try this before she comes home. THANK YOU!!! :flowerforyou:

You look awesome and your hard work shows and has paid off. It is understandable to want to share such accomplishments.:flowerforyou: Congratulations!

It's great to see your progress. Congrats! Anyone, feel free to add me if you wish. I just passed my 390th day and no plans to stop. Have recently had setbacks with a tailbone injury and now sciatica - but I'll keep plugging along. Could use some new friends as a lot of them have become inactive.

Oh, that's a great tip! Thanx

SUPER transformation. Looking great! Keep up the good work on yourself.

I've had plenty of new doctor visits with complete morons. Up to 2 lbs per week is acceptable. Most of us would seriously give up if we tried hard losing weight and 40 lbs took 2+ years, but you're on a higher calorie count and you do admit to cheating. I have problems with my blood pressure going too low at times. Be very…

Yum! I will try this kind. I've made the chocolate with diet coke and it really works. The other way to do it is with pure pumpkin in the can and cake mix. They come out between cake and brownie texture. Anything skipping the eggs, butter and oil are my favs.

Will be trying this tonight! Had already planned breakfast for dinner today, so I'll just make a few adjustments and fit it in. Nummy!

Most awesome transformations in all areas of physical and mental. Congratulations on your success. Keep up the good work.

My eyes are way way off. So we weigh weigh weigh everything. I've even converted my crockpot recipes into ounces (chili, stew, etc) for serving sizes. It works really great. If anyone is thinking of getting one, make sure you can change it from ounces to grams. I've not taken it to a restaurant yet, but now that that idea…

I don't work and I have a Fitbit and after walking 5+ miles today, I'm 65% sedentary for the day. That said, after working out every day and burning 3500 cals in exercise this week - I'm still 72% sedentary. Your activity levels will depend on how much you're actually moving around during the day. Very thankfully, I've…

Most definitely a great commitment to yourself. You and I started right about the same time last year. Awesome! You give me hope that I can just keep going to get to my goal. You've made a great transformation.

bump - will try these today!

BUMP What great ideas. My fav this month = 2 cups Sunny D, 1 scoop Vanilla powder, and I vary frozen fruits such as strawberries, pineapple, blueberries. Saves me a ton from visiting Blender's In The Grass. YAY!

Oh, he'll definitely notice. I've lost 70 and only the people that know keep mentioning it as I go down. But a few people that I haven't seen since I started last year have never said a word. Possibly people are uncomfortable with making comments. But also I've found a few people who can't really make "NICE" comments…

Mine, too. I weigh every day. Be patient and wait it out. Keep up your good work and it will break. I feel like I'm up from last month, but looking at the whole month, I'm actually down 5 lbs. Good luck

I had mine taken out 18 years ago, right after my 2nd daughter was born. I lost my appendix after the first daughter. ODD. But, the pain with the gallbladder was the worst thing I've ever had. If they would have left it in, I would have cut it out myself - it was so painful. I feel for anyone that has stones and they…

About 30 to 40 for me to see changes. Others it was around 40. Some people haven't said anything even though I'm at 70.
