If I really push myself, I am usually sore 2-3 days, with the second day being the absolute worst! I find that walking and light stretching and ICE helps alot :)
-
I sure hope so, I did 2 hours at a brisk pace on the treadmill this morning!
-
I quit weighing daily because I am easily discouraged.... now I weigh every Friday and also measure :) So, like this week, I am only down a pound, but am down almost 5 inches in overall measurements from last week (2 of those from my waist) It made my morning :)

5'5" and a half :) Goal weight somewhere between 140-155 I wear my weight really well, evenly disbursed, and know I have lots of muscle too :)
-
Love to see this :) I started at 236, got down to 186 and now I am back at 201 (Lost 3 lbs this week though) I also disappeared from MFP for a few months.... You look great, keep up the good work, and thanks for the inspiration :)

This is awesome :) The hubby and I always call it sexercise :)

If you really want to wear shorts, wear them! Just make sure they are a good fit. The problem isn't people being too "fat" to wear shorts, it's people squeezing into shorts that don't fit them.... Wear shorts, or I agree with above, wear sundresses or skirts :) Be comfortable and LOVE yourself :)

First month! Let's go for 60 miles!

Yes, he has lost a bunch of weight too. Basically because I quit bringing the "crap" food into the house! LOL... he works hard at his job too :)

I am a total chocoholic!!! Found out last month that I am lactose intolerant, and I of course immediately went on a search for chocolate I can have! Green & Black's organic dark chocolate is the only one I found that has no dairy and tastes good. Organic cocoa, organic cocoa powder, and organic vanilla. There are 24…

I think you look amazing! I have thick thighs too, but I am a runner, and I am proud of them! Those thighs carry me through my races, from 3.1 miles to 26.2 Be proud of yourself!!!!

Thank You! :)

I also used to make a pizza out of them, haven't tried it since I found out I am lactose intolerant :( My favorite was a little bit of chunky marinara, fresh basil, chicken, and feta. DELISH! Any pizza toppings will do :)

First, Congrats!!!! LOVE IT! Second, What is NSV? I keep seeing it, and have been racking my brain trying to figure it out :) Thank You

OK, thank you for this! I am 5'5" (and a little bit) and currently 193 pounds, just yesterday wore a pair of size 12's. I can't fit into all of my size 12's, but all of my 14's are a little big.... I love that I wear my weight well, but also it sucks when people say "Oh you don't look that big" I am that big.... I am…

Agree with everything above :) Make sure your shoes are fitted, and get good supportive insoles. Buy running socks! I used to get blisters all the time, bought running socks from lululemon ($12 a pair, but I have had mine for 2 years and they are still strong) Haven't had a blister since! Get a good sports bra. Makes all…

Filtered Ice water!!! I used to HATE drinking water. Now I find myself craving it, and feel like crap when I don't get my water in.... I shoot for a gallon a day :) I have a 24 oz bubba cup at work and I just make sure I refill it every 2 hours, plus drink one before work, and a little after work (I try not to drink too…

Yes, hop on the elliptical! The shin splints will eventually stop. Definitely ice, eat a banana, ibuprofen.... I got them a lot when I first started running, and as I upped my miles. I don't seem to get them at all any more though :) I wouldn't stop for days on end, but work your way back into your running. Walk a bit.

Ok, So I can totally relate! I hit 200, and basically after bouncing back and forth between 205 and 198, I gave up. Before I knew it I was 236 pounds. I was really afraid that 250 was the next step, and after a very unforgiving picture, I decided to get in gear. I got back down to 200, 199, 198, then got scared, and…

Weigh in day, lost 2 pounds this week! Down 43 so far, 13 in this last month :) ANNNNND even better than that is that I officially fit in my size 12 jeans! (Not just putting them on and struggling to zip them, they FIT!)
-
LOL, I think it's just human nature. It just motivates me to work harder, and it makes me happy that I am motivating them as well :)
-
Also, I used to HATE drinking water, and now I crave it... Like the other girl said, you will rarely find me without my bottle of water. I got a brita filter for my kitchen sink. Don't know how I ever lived without it!
-
I don't know the why's or how's behind it, but I do know that since I switched from diet sodas, crystal light, iced tea with sweetener, and switched to plain old iced water,I am losing more weight faster, I feel less hungry all the time, my hair, nails and skin are also much healthier, and I don't feel bloated all the…

Green & Black's organic dark chocolate :)

Add me, and any of my friends. Most of them I have met on here, and are wonderful support :)

Giving my two cents too.... I lived for YEARS trying to do the right thing by eating baked this, weight watchers that, sugar free this, low fat that..... It never worked. In the last month, I cut it all out. I make a big tupperware full of fruit in the morning (usually an apple, an orange, some grapes, half a canteloupe,…

About a month ago I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid and put on medication for it. I have lost 13 pounds, BUT I am not attributing it to the medication alone.... I drastically changed my diet - I was told I am lactose intolerant and cut out dairy, and after doing some research on the thyroid, I decided to cut out…
