  • I like this, because I have spent years chasing the low fat / sugar free "healthy" versions of foods that I love, feeling unsatisfied with them, overeating, struggling with cravings, feeling sick and bloated and just generally gross.... About a month ago, per dr's orders, I cut out dairy (OMG!) other than that, I just made…
  • I started on it 3 weeks ago, lost 9 pounds in 8 days, and then it slowed way down, a pound a week in the last 2 weeks. Your body should adjust to it, but definitely contact your doctor if it doesn't slow down :) I have not gained any of mine back.
  • My son is 11, and I sign him up for the 5k fun runs, and do them with him. The wilder, the better. We are doing the foam fest run in August, and he can't wait until the day he turns 15 so he can do the Warrior Dash. He is not an active child, he would rather sit and play video games for the rest of his life than do…
  • I LOVE Jasmine rice, a little garlic, sea salt, and fresh avacado, cut into small chunks. Mix it all up, the avacado softens and almost "melts" into the rice YUMM!
  • Give yourself leeway - I don't know that I could have gone a full 7 days the first time. Add foods back in slowly, and listen to your body. If you feel like it's hurting you, don't keep it up. :) If you feel really good, like I did, and you feel like your body is getting what it needs, go for it :) Every body is different,…
  • Here's my two cents.... I did it for 3 days. LOVED it. I was shocked that I wasn't starving. The second day was hard, I craved a lot of different foods, and got pretty sweaty/gross feeling (detox) Day 3 was easier. I lost 6 pounds in 3 days, kept it off, AND IT KICKED MY CRAVINGS FOR UNHEALTHY FOOD! That was the best part…
  • I switch it up. I tend to chat a lot with my running partner, and we walk a lot.... When I run alone, I lose myself in my music, in my miles, and I forget to think about things like "Let's just make it to the next tree...." Sometimes I just want to run it out on my own, sometimes I crave the friendship and the ambition to…
  • I know the feeling... A few years back, I said something about people trying out for American Idol that clearly couldn't sing (Like the people that you KNOW aren't even trying) and a friend of my husband's was in the same room, and said "Yeah, well fat people shouldn't wear spandex" and pointed to my pants. 1. That's just…
  • OK, so I did 6 days last week, drank Saturday night for the first time in over a month, and haven't done it since.... By day 5 I was feeling better, although my ankles were what was hurting me, mostly the right one. I was okay on everything except the jumping jacks/jump rope combo..... I am starting again tonight, and hope…
  • I do, I usually end up doing less cardio, and more weights/aggressive workout (medicine ball throws, etc) It helps my crabby mood too :)
  • It's going to be a drunk night for me too, first time drinking in over a month (Not that I drink a lot, but about every 2 weeks or so, we like to have a big karaoke party and have a few drinks....) I am going to cut up some fruit and veggies before hand, and bake some chicken with buffalo sauce.... Here's to hoping I can…
  • I have noticed that it varies race to race, I just start further back, and pay attention to the runners ahead of you. If the slower people are sticking to the right, go that way. Make sure you can hear what's going on around you. Have FUN! Thank your volunteers as you pass them :)
  • I took my day 1 pics and measurements today. Excited to see what this month has in store for me! How will I know my calorie burn?
  • AMAZING!!!!
  • I am doing a race a month this year, from 5k to a full marathon. I will be at Warrior Dash Oregon, Foam Fest Portland - Oregon, Dirty Dash in Eugene, Oregon. Next year I WILL be doing some sort of Zombie race :) Take your time and enjoy the race!!!! And yes, tight lycra like material!!!
  • OK, so here's my two cents... I went to the dr. 2 weeks ago with stomach pain, gassy all the time, bloating, unable to lose weight, and I also had a weird lump in my throat (almost like a skin tag). I found out a ton of stuff at that appointment. Most of the issues were caused by stress and anxiety, although I did have…
  • OK, so I have a different name, BUT Age: 36 5'5" and a half :) starting weight: 236 current weight: 197 Goal weight: 140-150 ish - toned and fit! Melissa

  • So inspired, I went out on my lunch break and bought it.... I will start April 1, and will remember to take before pics and will post my results May 1 :) Thanks for the inspiration!!!
  • I'll be honest, I still do it most of the time, but there are times when I don't, and yes, I am super guilty of sitting on Pinterest, pinning away motivating sayings and amazing workouts.... I really didn't want to go this morning, but I got dressed, got my shoes on, and decided I couldn't take them off until I had run for…
  • You can add me :) I log in almost daily (I'm on 10 days in a row!) Happily married, 3 kids, and I LOVE to run :)
  • sounds like fun :) Count me in!
  • I am going to have to try the zombie one :)
  • AMAZING!!!! Super inspiring :)
  • I just found out the same thing, and my dr prescribed me 50,000 units once a week for the next 6 months, and THEN switch to 3,000 to 4,000 units daily after that. :) I have been stuck at 195-205 pounds for almost a year, working out with no results. They did a fasting test on my thyroid, and discovered it was sluggish.…
  • OK, I'm glad I'm not the only one! I am 5'5 and a half, and my goal is between 135-150, depending on how I feel at 150, and how toned/how much muscle I have.... :)
  • Another good one is sexymotherrunner... Google it or look her up on FB, so inspiring! I totally agree with everyone, get a good sports bra, good shoes, and get running socks. I ordered mine from lululemon, about $12 a pair, but they LAST and I haven't had a blister since :) Start slow, celebrate every success!!! I started…
