  • I’m in. Desk job M-F, a husband that works nights and two little ones at home that don’t make it easy for Mom to get 10k steps a day. But, I’m fitting it in anywhere I can. 1/1/19 - 7,243 1/2/19 - 10,277
  • I'd like to join. I fell off the wagon this winter and want to get a jump start again.
  • First of all, don't listen to this crazy person! I just had my tonsils and adenoids removed in September. I'm not going to sugar coat anything. It was the most painful thing I have been through so far in my lifetime. But, two months later, I have zero regrets. I sleep so much better and no more sore throats when I get a…
  • I'm in this situation right now. I have an almost 4 year old bulldog mix named Gunner. I've had him since he was 7 weeks old. I don't have any kids yet and I absolutely love my dog. A little over a year ago, he started limping. I took him to the vet where they informed me they believed he had a partial tear in his ACL. I…
  • Wow, really? I don't normally give this advise, but... Yes, you might want to just give up because if you are going to cry about 1 pound in a week, this really isn't for you. Or... If you weighed in today, maybe it was because of a higher sodium day yesterday and you need to ride it out and drink some water.

  • I am currently drinking the Monavie RVL shakes. When I started my weight loss, I was drinking one for breakfast and lunch. But, now I usually only do one for breakfast for the same reasons as you. I am short on time in the morning. The nutritional value on these is actually quite amazing. They do keep me feeling full and…
  • Mine just started doing the exact same thing, except mine will show a heart rate of 00 and then jump up to 234! I wash mine regularily, so I know that's not it. Last night a friend suggested a new battery also, so I am going to give that a shot.
  • If I know I am going to spend a straight hour or two of hard core cleaning like moving all the furniture to vaccuum and cleaning windows or walls, then I will put on my HRM and calculate those calories if there is no rest in between the cleaning. But, I also have myself listed as sedentary, so I feel this would be above my…
  • I have a Polar F4 HRM and love it. I tend to burn right around the 300-325 calorie mark doing 30 day shred when I really push it through the whole workout.
  • No right or wrong answer here... If you are going to panic about the little ups and downs that happen from day to day, then I would only weigh yourself once a week. Me personally, I weigh myself every morning. I don't do it to to obsess over the weight. It just keeps me in check from day to day.
  • Feel free to add me :-) The more support the better! I've been doing MFP for about a year, but slacked a little the last couple months. I'm ready to get back to it again.
  • I think most friends/family want to be supportive - but you almost need to feed them the right opportunities - Just tell them when you reach your goal weight or target clothes size - they probably don't want to know each time you lost a couple of lb. Having people who recognise the importance of the small victories you…
  • This is such a great topic! I know at some point, I have been on both ends of the spectrum and the receiving end can definitely get annoying. It seems like when people start a new healthy lifestyle and they are being successful at it, that's all they can talk about at certain times. Like you said in your post, the key is…
