  • Yes. I have my own food issues in that ive always genuinely been uninterested in food. I find the process of eating very boring and i often give up after a few bites. As a child i never finished anything and as a result was very underweight. Even still, my mother would shame my bloated stomach (chronic constipation) which…
  • Im sensitive to caffine. It makes me hungry and tired and makes me retain water. I switched to a pure chickory drink and while t doesn't taste like barrista coffee it tastes likes instant coffee to me. Plus its really cheap.
  • Teeny tiny clothes. Bones, all the bones! I find delicate bones really beautiful. I don't care what anyone else thinks.
  • I'm in the food as fuel Camp. I don't find joy in any food really. None, never have. It's not fun, it's not entertainment or reward etc. I do try but nothing ever tastes as good as I'd hoped. Im okay with that.
  • I think I'm different from most people. I dislike food. All food. I dislike the process of eating, it makes me feel gross and always has. It's nothing I need therapy for because it doesn't really impact my life. I eat when I have to. I try to tempt myself with indulgent food like chocolate, cookies and ice cream but they…
  • In the winter, the cold weather dies make me hungrier, but also I'm in the habit of eating more warming, comfort food. Plus there is Christmas (and thanks giving for the us) with all the indulgent food that incorporates. Another thing is that in the summer I'm more likely to eat and then get up and go out as its still…
  • Honestly, if a colleague turned up one day looking thinner all of a sudden, it would catch my attention. Its new and different. When people change, it's noteworthy. If you had been hidden in oversize scrubs and then turn up looking thinner in regular clothes, it's going to attract attention. It's not always a bad thing, it…
  • I've tried hormonal meds and SSRIs but the adverse effects for me are not working. I tried herbal treatments too. Nothing has worked for me. I get 2 weeks of bingy eating and 2 weeks of no appetite. When it's bad I get really depressed and don't follow a decent regime and end up gaining weight . I have no advice, but you…
  • Recently, I regained 10lbs purely due to hormonal issues causing depression and increased appetite. I ate poorly, very poorly - pizza, cookies and chocolate for meals. I didn't have the energy or will to meal prep. My turning point was having to get my big knickers back out of the attic. It absolutely killed me, especially…
  • 5ft0 Currently 99lbs. Hips 35inches Waist 22 inches Bust 32C I have short legs and am short waisted. I think your measurements sound fine. It's about how you feel though.
  • I second the tea idea, but I make it with boiling water and let it cool completly before putting the jug in the fridge.
  • I weigh the pan. Weigh the ingredients, add to the recipe builder. When it's finished cooking I reweigh it and subtract the pan weight. I add that value as the number of servings. When I put my portion on my plate I weight it in grams and add that to my diary as the number of servings e.g 400g of soup is 400 servings. It's…
  • I feel your pain. I have external fibroids (outside of uterus as opposed to inside it) caused by birth control. They don't cause me pain when exercising, but they press on my rectum and bowls and cause painful constipation and excruciating pain in my tailbone area when I have my period. Losing weight has not changed…
  • In my house its the opposite. That's mine is mine and what's yours is yours. We don't touch each others stuff. Ever! Tell him that coffee will work just as well and cost far less. Personally, I'd let him try one cup and if he sees a difference he can buy his own. He probably won't see any difference, he's just curious.
  • I've been getting botox for migraines 3-4 times a year for about 4 years. It's pricy but worth every penny for me.
  • Soups, stews, salads. Easy on the high fat, high carb stuff. No additions e.g. Salad dressing (just vinegar for me), no cheese sprinkle or croutons, no cream or honey drizzle. No Mayonnaise. No liquid calories, no alcohol. No cream based sauces or soups, no garlic bread on the side, breads ticks etc. No butter on top etc.…
  • I use Glucose tablets. The ones I have are 15 cals. One is usually enough to get rid of the shakes. Occasionally I need two. They are a godsend and easily available in most pharmacies and supermarkets.
  • Personally, I eat low carb, not keto and fast for 4 days at a time on occasion. If someone questioned me or spoke to my boss about it, I'd report them to HR. It's a personal thing.
  • Don't forget to log the oil used in cooking as well! (and any soy sauce etc.)
  • I'm 5ft. At 90lbs I'm a bit small, but I prefer myself at 95lbs. ( I'm a few pounds heavier right now) I like the sharpness in my bone structure and I find the bones that are visible, really pretty. I lose my bust, but that really doesn't bother me as I'm not into larger breasts. My body might not be to everyone's taste,…
  • I took a biotin supplement very briefly. It gave me horrendous stomach pains. It was a horrible time till I worked out what was causing it. I'm pretty sensitive to most medications and supplements though.
  • I make my usual salad in the morning, ready for lunch like I would do if I were in work. I make sure if I'm home to have that for lunch.
  • Honestly, not tempted I'm the slightest. I'm not trying to be 'good', I just don't want any of it - no mince pies, no chocolates, no fruit cake, no cookies.... It's a bit odd, I know. I'm not complaining though.
  • To increase your metabolic demand you need to increase the energy demand on your body e.g deliberate movement. Other ideas which increase the demand slightly are : dealing with irritants such as chilli, increasing heart rate e.g amphetamines or caffeine, healing, growing. Obviously some of these I definitely don't…
  • I have this condition. I've lost over 30lbs. I find low carb is a great way to manage it and I find Glucose tablets a life saver. I find if I eat carby food it sets off a blood sugar spike and then a dip. It's best to avoid them all together for me.
  • This bothered me too, so I used the setting function to create one big category I labelled 'food', but you change it 5 meals if you wanted. Whatever fits best for you.
  • Three meals a day is a modern western way of eating. It's been different at other times in history. Many cultures today have different patterns of eating. As long as you get enough nutrition and have enough energy , then times don't matter.
  • Hi, no I'm not gaining on 812-my maintenence is about 1350. I was just pointing out a random fluctuation. I don't usually eat that low, it was just that kind of day (tired, not hungry, early to bed) . I was using it as an example of how you can eat 3 meals and still have low calories. Alternatively you can have one meal…
  • I'm 41, just under 5ft, currently weigh 105lbs and extreamly sedentary. My NEAT comes out as 1350 per day.
  • It's total calorie intake. I was taling to my friend last night about this. I'd eaten in the day: (all weighed and logged) 2 small chicken drumsticks Ham salad with 1/4 small avocado (just vinegar for dressing, I dislike oil) Satsuma Apple (low sugar variety, I prefer the taste) Cellery and carrot sticks (no dip) Tomato…
