Christmas and Holidays

Just wondering how everyone plans to manage the holiday season? I get highly anxious being out of control and routine whilst away on vacation. How do you mange this? Do you let loose and throw caution to the wind or do you go into the silly season with a clear plan? Advice would be appreciated.

I’m on a diet break until next Wednesday. Other than today and dinner Christmas Day/breakfast on the 26th, I’m still being mindful of what I’m eating.

Just don't use the holiday as an excuse to eat all the things. Eat some of the things to enjoy life. You'll soon enough be out of holiday excuses.

I use it as an opportunity to be mindful. Even if I loosely track and make educated guesses, it keeps me in the ballpark of where I’m at for the day. Guilt has only ever created an all or nothing mentality for me, so I cut myself some slack, and feel empowered by logging as I go.

Not different that the rest of the year. In my household holiday food is just regular food. We are not sweet lovers and everybody drinks in moderation, and my husband and I don't drink much or at all. No parties to go are a plus, but having family in the house and going places means that we eat out more. Sooo, mindful eating and portion control are something to be aware off.

I make my usual salad in the morning, ready for lunch like I would do if I were in work. I make sure if I'm home to have that for lunch.

I eat other things, not more.

Eat a bit of this and a bit of that and probably a bit more than usual ... but exercise more. :)
