We,sound very much alike. I got a metabolism test, 9% under normal, but thyroid was good. So I have gone serious... training for an irongirl...cancelled basically everything but husband, work and bible study. Gained first..muscle, yesterday,finaly saw the scale drop....swim stairs bike but not too hard don't want to hurt…

yes, I had a friend do this, but a bit more intense. she started with white rice and added food as she worked up because it was so bad. but I have heard of many others doing this as ordered by doc's to find the allergy. and Dr. Weil of course and my own Nutritionist says, 'no processed' at all!

start writing down everything you eat, see what you are really consuming calorie wise and in what carbs/protien etc... you and I are simular, 191 today!! but I'm 50! 5x week excersize is what my Nutritionist has me on.

bingo, my dietician told me yesterday that my metabolism test came in, and I have very low met. so I have to eat all my veggies etc...or my metabolism will put everything into fat and I will go into a deep deep sleep (which may not be bad at 50!).....ha ha. oh ya!!!!!!!!! they all count, my nutritionist says that doing those small things 'with purpose" throughout the day actually help to raise your metabolism. so making those things happen "on purpose" and putting gusto (or a few dance steps) into vacumming can be critical to raising your met.....
