Oh my gosh, where did that year go? There have been some fantastic food suggestions on some of the comments, and it would be really nice if we could bring all the ideas together and share in the leadup to this years big P-Day.

If your medical issues are so severe that they caused emergencies, I think that taking care of your food intake is more important than any social concerns. Family and friends who actually care about you should be understanding of your issues. And if they are not, it is their problem not yours. It is time to be assertive…

Add me please. This is the year of no more pathetic excuses. I lost 13 kg and then regained it. Feel like cr*p. Life was so much more fun when I weighed less. I know all the pathetic excuse and am expert at using them. Feel free to kick my a***.

Hi there, I am also a mum of 8. The action never stops. most of it is good, lots of it is hard, and there is always someone putting stress on somewhere. So its good to be on here and looking after ourselves. Thanks for starting this thread.

Here we go again..... What are everyone's pre pesach goals???
-
I used to spend the entire week undoing the damage I had done on shabbos. I have tried it all, pre logging and logging after the deed was done. Now I am trialing intermittent fasting as I have my son's bar mitzvah in a few weeks and want to fit into my dress! Intermittent fasting is an interesting experience. I don't eat…

Oh yes it's coming nearer and nearer and I don't know about you but I haven't recovered from Pesach yet. How are we going to do this people???
-
Well I spent all day cleaning and cooking and logged everything and was great. Then after bedikas chameitz I made a pesach cake and had some. Feel sick. This cannot continue My kids don't even like the cake. The exhaustion really doesn't help..... salads tomorrow. Happy pesach everyone!!!

Last year we were able to get amaranth, which is apparently a plant and not a grain. It was puffed and tasted like styrofoam but who cares, because its full of protein, very healthy and I ate it with yoghurt, fruit and honey for breakfast each morning. Now I dont know if we will be able to get it in Australia this year,…

Love it! Body recomp is the best

We are going to my mother's for Seuda. I will take a big fresh salad with low fat dressing and stick to that plus protein. the influx of junk food all day is a real worry. I am planning to prelog everything and thereby hope to maintain some form of control over the craziness. And Pesach.... that's another hurdle....

Froods, just look at the weight you have lost, and how far you have come! Take it day by day and keep up the great work... It's basically a lifetime commitment and it is fine to acknowledge that that is a huge adjustment in every way.

You are not only inspirational, but you are also so incredibly self aware and modest. One of the best success stories on here, I reckon. ..

Wow, I just noticed this thread and thought"what a good idea for a thread" and realized that I had started it last year this time! These chagim are lovely but sooo hard for weight loss!!!! How are we supposed to keep perspective when we are dishing up multiple course meals multiple times a day for weeks on end?!? Yes I…

Me too. My daughter and her family are coming to me for the month of yom tov. I am basically cooking for at least ten people at each meal. With the 3 dayers that's a lot of food. I have been having a hard time lately staying on track so I am quite worried. I am planning to make fresh healthy foods and will be in control of…

I can relate to this. It's as though I have a psychological resistance that is making it hard for me to get my head around being at a lower weight and subconsciously I am sabotaging myself. I think it's called dysmorphia. My approach is to take this one day at a time and hope that my mind will eventually catch up to my…

I spend a fortune on healthy food for my family. But I'd rather be doing that than spending it on trips to the doctor...

I was eating at over 2000 per day and heavy lifting 3 times a week. measurements were slowly shrinking but weight basically stalled. Have now reduced to around 1800-1900 per day and seem to be getting out of the funk. definitely cant go below 1800, wouldn't be able to function or sustain this.

my fitbit one. I love the fact that it syncs with MFP so the more I move, the more I can eat!

Me too please!
