  • Hugely inspirational post - and I LOVE your outfit hehe!
  • WOW!! You don't even look like the same person. HUGE inspiration thank you!
  • Most people log it as circuit training general - and somewhere between 20 and 27mins worth. 27 Minutes burns about 170 calories. I did it - day 3 level 1 despite being really sore! Only 7 more times through level 1 and I get to move on to level 2 - I hear it's quite a leap up difficulty-wise.

  • My trainer used to always tell me to try eating more, especially when I hit plateaus, I tried a few times and gave up within a day or two because I was so scared I'd put on. Well... I've been at a standstill for the past 2+ months, I haven't lost a thing (in fact I gained - I just didn't log it) even when I dramatically…
  • Fantastic!!
  • I compelted day 2 of level 1 yesterday - got up at 6am this morning to do level 3 and my doms (delayed onset muscle soreness) is soooo much worse than I had expected, had to forgo it this morning, will attempt it tonight after a nice long stretch (unfortunately time didn't allow for that this morning). Can't believe how…

  • My Thorlos http://www.thorlo.com/
  • I'm level 1 day 2 - so behind by exactly one level - but I'd still be able to help keep you motivated (if you did the same for me!!)
  • Frittata is currently my go-to low cal meal. Just vegetables of your choice and egg, with a smidgen of cheese if you like. Even a HUGE portion is usually between 200 and 300 cal depending on what types of vegetables I choose. You can cut it down even more just using eggwhites.
  • I've had some great trainers and some not so great trainers, and only one AMAZING trainer (who sadly isn't training anyone at the moment) so before you sign up for anything make sure they prove themselves worthy of your money!
  • Really interesting you wrote this (and sorry for the thread hijack) but I'd been the same weight for two months until last week when I accidentally ate an extra 300 calories 3 days in a row. Only realised the overeat today but maybe that's what broke my plateau! Either way I'm down over 4lb (YAY!)
  • All of my 'regular' bowls will hold between 1 cup and 1.5 cups (if filled almost to the top). There's about 8.5oz in a cup (the measurement not the thing you drink out of).
  • Can't believe I'm doing this... I guess now I'll HAVE to complete it!! Photos from 28/10 Height 164cm - 5'4" Weight 64.0kg - 141lbs Top Size Small Pant Size UK10 US4 Dress Size UK 8/10 US2/4
  • Love this thread! I want to wear my short short short shorts without tights underneath (sounds weird - but see my profile pic, it's perfectly acceptable in little old New Zealand!) A tiny white bikini. I mean TEENY tiny.
  • Rest days are really important and aren't counted at the 30 days. How many rest days you take is up to the individual but most trainers (including Jillian) would recommend 1-2 a week. So perhaps extending it to a 6 week challenge would be a good idea?? I plan on taking one enforced rest dy a week, and then if anything…
  • Hi, I'm Amy and I am currently 141lbs and my goal weight is 128lbs. I'm anticipating a difficult week as far as completing 30DS goes, I'm away for 3 days and won't have internet access or a tv... so I've started it today & it feels great. My goal for the next 30 days is just to continue losing weight. I don't want to put a…
  • My boyfriend likes me as I am too, and a good 7kg ago he said I didn't need to lose anymore, when I plateaued recently he even said not to lose anymore - that he loved my curves and softness (haha! squidgy, jiggly bits!). BUT when I do lose he notices and he definitely appreciates it. I think by telling me I didn't need to…
  • Awesome!! I can credit the majority of my weightloss to dancing, it's great for your body AND your soul so go you!!

  • My hipbones stuck out in the shower today.
  • Oohhh good thread! I love pitango's organic pumpkin and ginger soup, it's under 100 calories so makes a great lunch or snack. I also have a 'cheat' meal - it's not that flash nutritionally (17g carbs, 3g protein and 1g fat) but again less than 100cal for a whole bowl full - Continental Savoury Tomato & Onion Pasta. Most of…
  • I am training for my first half marathon, and using this: http://www.bootcamp.co.nz/uploads/4/0/8/7/4087660/_half_marathon_training_guide_auckland_half_marathon_2010.pdf
  • A new keyboard, although I'm going to let myself do that 2kg early - when I get down to 60kg (132lb) Not far to go now!
  • I am fat for the same reason you are - I ate too much & moved too little.
  • My preferred style is zouk - but I also do a lot of samba de gafieira/samba funkeado through an organisation I work for (promoting and teaching Brazilian styles in New Zealand - classes, workshops, festivals, shows and events). Most weeks I'll throw in a little salsa, bachata, merengue, cha or ceroc just to mix it up - but…
  • Hey, I'm from Christchurch New Zealand and work for an organisation that focuses on Brazilian dance styles. Personally I focus of zouk and more recently also samba de gafieira/samba funkeado which we're just starting to introduce to New Zealand. I also study full time - but with such limited performing art opportunities in…
  • Good shoes and socks save my toenails running, but dance is another story! I tend to lose two toenails a year to dance shoes... Hmmm maybe I should dance in thurlos...
  • I had been trying for years and only lost a few kg. One day I went to a dance class with an old friend, I loved it! I was hooked. I danced as often as possible and without realizing it I had lost 5kg. People were commenting and it was so easy, something "clicked" I COULD lose weight and it wasn't even difficult - it was…
  • I love this thread! I have a few recent ones: *Discovering my regular running route was actually 5K not my estimated 3K. *Being told I'm hot by 18y/os who didn't believe I was a good 8 years older than they were AND a mummy! *My wonderful dance friends noticing a change in my body even when the scales didn't Oh & fitting…
  • Could it be a blood flow thing? After I've warmed up or after a run or a workout when I'm nice and pink I often feel itchy. Mostly on my shins. For me it 's caused by increased bloodflow & differing temperatures. I tend to get it worse in cold weather and not at all when it's warm.
  • Awww I remember having boobies!! When I was UK 14D I wore two, a Bendon (I think they're only sold in NZ and Australia) sports bra with underwire and then a seamless knit one over the top. Now I'm in a Bendon 12B no underwire... and the cups are a little on the big side *sigh*
