I'm just joining you guys after buying Body By You today. Planning to start on Monday!
-
kate, did you do this? I just got the book today but can't find much on here about it.
-
Dang, fell off the exercise wagon a few days ago. I think I was through day 18. I leave for vacation in a week, so I'm going to plan on doing level 2 until then and pick up at level 3 when I get back! Shred on, guys!
-
I'm thinking ahead to life after the 30DS - have you guys done many other JM videos? I'm thinking of doing a BFBM/NMTZ rotation after this. Anyone done that combo?
-
Wow, level 3!!! You go!
-
Day 16 done! Am really getting into level 2 now! Still ridiculously hard to do those V squats at the end, but I'm pushing through!
-
I'm not going to lie, the scale is killing me! I lost three pounds the first week, but I had actually put those three pounds on the week before when I quit smoking; so they don't seem like "real" pounds as much as they do fluctuation. And I've lost ZERO since. I have lost a few inches so far, which I know is important, but…

I'm only doing it 5Xwk, so skipping a day seems fine to me :)
-
Day 14 done - tomorrow is the halfway mark! Note to self: do not skip your exercise in the morning ever again! Such a hard time making myself do it at 7 pm tonight!
-
I lost a couple of inches in my stomach by the end of level 1! Not a whole lot of difference on the scale yet though.
-
Level 2, day 3 done! Two days away from the midpoint of the shred!
-
I think that when Jillian says the weights should be at eye level, I should just expect serious pain lol. It was the same in Level 1 in the last circuit with those side lunge anterior raises. Ouch! I think I look ridiculous too because I keep repositioning myself thinking, huh, it looks so smooth when they do it :)
-
Day 12 done! Level 2 went much better the second time around. Although that entire last set kills me - those V squats are insane!
-
Yes, yes, and yes to all of this! I was actually completely demoralized by this morning's attempt at Level2. I feel like I spent most of it trying to figure out what I was supposed to be doing and my knees are NOT happy. I think Level 1 was hard when I started from an endurance standpoint, but this feels hard in so many…
-
I just watched level 2 to see what I was in store for tomorrow - yikes! Glad you were able to smile through it ! I think I'll be too busy moaning lol :)
-
Level 1 complete! I've been doing about 45 minutes of cardio 5Xweek and strength training 3Xwk; I've made no change in my eating habits. After 10 days, I have lost very little weight (3 pounds the first week, which I think was more water than anything else, and none this week), but I have lost an inch off my belly, one off…
-
Day 9 complete! Last day of level 1 tomorrow and then a rest day before moving on to level 2!
-
You should give it a try! One good thing to know is that everyone is so busy watching the teacher that they'll never bother watching you make a mistake!
-
Jealous! The first class I went to had a sub teaching and it was all hip hop / reggaeton - LOVED it! The other two I've been two are much more Latin and I kind of suck at taking those itty bittty samba (or whatever) steps lol!
-
I second (or third) the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It's amazing how well you will get to know your body and cycles through reading it. I've got a handful of friends with fertility issues (in the female part of the couple) who had great success with acupuncture if you're open to alternative ideas. good luck!
-
yay! Have never ever been so happy to exercise as when I go to zumba :)

Yes, two kids here and tired of being the slubby chubby mama. I was very thin through most of my life and still feel confused when I see myself looking the way I do now :) Good luck!
-
There's also this group doing it. We started last week, I think, but have had people joining each day! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/636618-anyone-wanna-join-30-day-shred-today

I'm on day 9 of level 1, terrified of the planks in level 2 :) I've been doing it M, T and Th, F, Sat. I know a lot of people are doing it every day but I just can't! Good luck! I'm going to add you as a friend!
-
Ah, I want to but they hurt in a way that makes me worried I'm doing real damage. I'll see how they feel in the morning!
-
So sad - my knees are killing me. They're fine during the workout, but have been aching afterward. Tonight they feel really bad. Going to take a few days off and see how I feel. Ugh - all that momentum I had going! Sigh.....
-
Not a whole lot. Enough to do a jumping jack and lunge, plus lie flat on a mat. that should cover all the exercises. In level 1 anyway. Not sure about the other levels.
-
Day 8, level 1! Upped my weights and thought I was going to die lol! Am totally afraid of level 2! I think I may stick to level 1 until after my rest day on Sunday.
-
Day 7 down. The second set of jumping jacks in the first cardio round still kill my legs! I'm thinking I'm just not warmed enough. And I still despise that the weights should be at my eyes on those lunges. Ugh!
