  • The fact that he decided to update his status about "it being over" is ridiculous especially if it's only a month in. I think that's just screaming he wants attention because he knows you're giong to see that. I wouldnt contact him at all. If he calls you, you can explain yourself and take it from there but if not he…
  • I do ab classes and definitely see results! I find when I stop doing them my stomach is not nearly as tight. No, you can't see a 6 pack but when I do the ab classes it makes my abs sore when in turn makes my stomach feel tighter in general. I find the layer on top isnt as flabby (that sounds so gross haha) the day after an…
  • I go to the gym lately 6-7 days a week. I find if I work out at home I have a tendency to "slack" more. If I know people can see me it motivates me to keep going. Also, when I need new ideas I go to either body pump, kickboxing, or yoga classes. I also use their ab classes because when I do ab workouts by myself I have a…
  • I dont have a problem with people texting or e-mailing it's just when you start hearing peoples life stories while working out. On Thanksgiving there was only like 10 people at the gym because most people dont make it to the gym on holidays and this lady was walking around doing weights on her phone...She was just making…
  • I like this idea! Thanks! 5'6 144 lbs size 6 pant S-M shirts Female
  • Thank you mjtwomail! I agree-I'm a size 6 and I dont think anyone would look at me and think I was "sick" or "skinny skinny". If that was the case I probably wouldnt be on this site -- Amongst my friends I am known for having a big appetite and also for working out. I definitely dont have as good of a body as that picture…
  • 1. Drink lots of water 2. Eat bananas-- they're loaded with potassium to help drain some of that water weight! Good Luck!
  • I weigh in a lot. In the mornings usually and sometimes after a work out just to see the change. It's normally more when I do stregnth training and less after I run. My official weigh in day that I actually record is Wednesday mornings.
  • I love this idea! Mine isnt anything exciting. It was the default e-mail name given to me by the college I went to. It's a mixture of my first and last name and I guess I was the 17th Mevan at the university. It's stuck ever since though. I hope you feel better and are out of the hospital soon!
  • I need to add one more thing... I have gotten into this chips ahoy craze which is sooo unnecessary after dinner... so an additional goal in december... dont buy cookies!! It sounds silly but i need it in writing! km323 - Reach 185lbs, run 4x per week, get to sleep before 2am each night, avoid french fries and log every day…
  • I'm joining this thread for the first time! In November I lost 3 lbs which I was very happy with. Each week I increased the number of days I worked out by 1 day so week 1 it was 3 days, week 2- 4 days week 3- 5 and week 4- 6 which I loved because I could tell my motivation was increasing! In December my goal is to run 4…
  • for 282 calories I had 1.5 packets of instant raisin date and walnut oatmeal in soy milk and a cup of black coffee
  • Love this! Very inspirational! Congratulations on all of ya'lls hard work!
  • I wear Mizuno Alchemys and love them! I also have insoles to keep my feet from moving so I can prevent blisters.
  • I wouldn't necessarily say I LOVE it. Running takes a lot of energy... and although they say exercise give you more energy I find I'm normally pretty tired after a run but of all exercises I love the results I see from running the most. I have tried to do yoga classes, weight classes, elliptical, spinning ect but nothing…
  • I am in the EXACT same boat as you! My boyfriend has lost about 20 lbs and is at a good healthy level and I am not loosing a thing! He doesnt diet he just does the elliptical. (I swear guys have it easier) I am trying to eat healthier and workout consistently but no results yet. The weekends are totally my weakness-- I go…
  • I had 100% whole wheat flat bread sandwich with hummus, romaine lettuce, a tiny bit of fat free cheddar cheese and 2 slices of turkey with a side salad of romaine lettuce and cucumbers and 2 tbsp of good seasons italian dressing for 343 calories!
  • I was eating Kashi cereal every morning with soy milk and a piece of fruit but I read on another message board about egg beaters in the microwave-- tried it this morning and it worked out great! I even found individually packaged servings so you don't overindulge. You put it in the microwave for about 2 minutes and then I…
  • I was diagnosed with hypothyroid a few months ago. I actually went to the dermatologist for something and she thought I had PCOS so sent me to an internal medicine doc but turns out it was my thyroid. I had no idea but had been gaining weight. She increased my dosage of synthroid 2 weeks ago because we're still working on…
  • I love this message board. I am currently 5'6 at 150 lbs which is the most I've ever weighed. I would love to be at 135 but am aiming for 140 right now. I'm currently a size 6 pant but my goal is a size 4. I am more passionate about exercise than dieting. I have worked out since high school and this year I started doing a…
  • I have a weight watchers scale and it works great! I always feel like it's accurate based on what i've eaten and if i've exercised. Usually not surprised which is a good thing when stepping on the scale!
  • I always feel the best/see the most results from running on the treadmill but it's definitely the hardest. If I am feeling tired but still want to get in a cardio workout I do the eliptical.
  • I just joined this website and I am loving all of the positive motivation! I have never thought of myself as overweight. I weigh about 148 and i'm 5'6 but I definitely have some extra lbs I need to get rid of and I'm finally committing to getting rid of them. My ideal weight is 130 (the last time I weighed that was when I…
  • I love that there is a group for people in their 20s. I need motivation for the weekends! I just started working full time and sitting in a chair all day has really kicked my butt. I have always worked out but I'm hoping by finding motivation here I will make the right choices to get the weight off!
  • This is the perfect place for me. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 5 months ago. I have gained about 10 lbs this year and cannot get it off. I eat about 1300 cals, drink tons of water and workout 5 days a week vigorously. It's so frustrating to continue to gain weight. I am trying to find motivation though because…
