  • Also trying to gain weight! I'm aiming for .5lb a week. 5'4 and ~119lb currently. This is the first time I'm trying to gain weight and would love company!
  • Also bulking for the first time, and I completely identify with the fear of gaining back the fat! But whenever I feel like freaking out, I just let myself freak out, then afterwards take a step back and consider my long term goals. In addition to all the advice here, this post from one of the stickies really helped kick my…
  • This site has some of the best high-protein recipes I've seen, mostly baked goods: http://www.themacroexperiment.com/recipes.html Also this: https://theproteinchef.co/blueberry-pie-protein-fluff-recipe-low-fat/ -- It tastes amazing and really fills you up because it is high volume (blending pumps a lot of air into the…
  • @lucygliang -- totally going to bulk add everyone :)
  • This is a great idea! @lucygliang on twitter/Instagram/facebook Yeah, I also have a problem with fake followers, especially on twitter. It can get really annoying. :/
  • I'm 5'4" and was stuck at 125-128lb for about a year. I broke through the plateau by primarily doing strength training and really increasing my protein intake. I was at a point where I just couldn't drop my calories any lower and still have it be sustainable. So I decided to gain muscle instead. I started with just…
  • I'm hitting the tail end of my cutting phase. I recently fell off the wagon when it came to protein intake and lost quite a bit of strength in the process :( but I'm getting back on track now. I love to get some more friends too!
  • Totally relate to that. :) Friend request sent.
  • In my last 5 lbs zone too! I totally relate to the frustration. At this point, because weight changes are happening so slowly, and sometimes not at all, that I'm turning to many other sources of measurements to track progress. Like: - body circumference measurements - caliper measurements - workout numbers (reps, weights…
  • Good job on the progress! I'm 5'4" and these days 118-120lb. I can lose weight with around 1400 calories/day on average. I find I maintain anywhere between 1600-1900 calories. The last pounds are awful! Sometimes I give up and eat at maintenance for a few days. I find it helps, at least psychologically, prep me into going…
  • Social support helps alot :) Have you tried working out before work? I find it helps wake me up too.
  • Yeah I know what you mean. When I used a handheld BF measurement device it told me I'm 18.9% whereas when I got it measured with a BodPod it said 25%. I'm flat chested and bottom heavy, so clearly handheld devices won't be terribly accurate. Accumeasure caliper says I'm around 24%. I use calipers for weekly measuring and…
  • Good luck! What kind of dance do you do? I'm a big fan of all kinds of partner dances (esp swing). Recomp is definitely a long term goal of mine too.
  • I'd love friends too. :) I've had MFP for years. Last summer I consistently tracked everything and finally broke through my 130lb plateau. I went down to 117lb and decided to take a 3-month diet break but kept tracking my calories. I went back up to 120 lb, which was not bad given that I've been hanging around 135-140…
  • Anyone tried The Witness yet? The puzzles will sizzle your brain cells, but dear god it's beautiful.
  • I've been on MFP for awhile now but only today started scouring the community section. I'd love some friends too :)
