I just hopped on to this board to write the same thing! Except, bad news, I'm almost a year PP. Weight was dropping like crazy until the last couple weeks or so. I am 9 pounds away from my "normal" weight and I feel like the 500 BFing calories just isn't cutting it anymore. I have heard about the holding on to the last 10…

Thanks guys!

Me too!

Yes I am, in maintenance now, though I still want to lose a few more lbs. I lost almost 20 in about 4 months. I'm officially sick of the food, but as a vegetarian I didn't have that many choices to begin with. Except breakfast-LOVE the breakfasts!!

Thanks for all the great suggestions, runners  You've inspired me to do a wee run tonight--forgot to mention that I've been having achilles pain after long runs but I'll worry about that AFTER the race. Even if I have to ride a scooter around the parks (j/k)

I'm going at the end of Sept for the Tower of Terror race and staying a few extra days. Wondering why I didn't get the dining plan for free? We are staying on property for 5 nights--does anyone know if that qualifies? That said, I don't really want it since their only vegetarian options are veggie burgers and FRIES!…

They look yummy! Have you put the recipe in MFP to find out calories, etc?
-
Definitely try it and let us know how it comes out. And it's totally called Jell-O  or gelatin I guess if you don't want to use a brand name...

How about a broccoli and cheese stuffed baked potato?
-
Not too far from my apt, will try to make it!

always hated running too, then something got into me and I signed up for a half marathon! Have since done Disney Princess Half and doing Tower of Terror THIS MONTH! Can't wait! My best advice is to start slow, def do the walk/jog thing, sometimes I still need to do that just depending on weather, my mood, energy, humidity,…

thanks all! Last time I felt like I couldn't do as much as the lighter ladies, but I will definitely work on STRENGTH for the next 3 weeks...should be doing that anyway but it always slips off my exercise to-do list...

Um, can I HIRE you?? Meal delivery service?? :flowerforyou:

Thanks everyone! I forgot to mention I don't eat meat...makes things a little more difficult. I used to be vegetarian but am now eating seafood (not fish though), which I guess opens a few more doors.

Did you have regular cotton shirts made or wicking ones? I'm leaning towards wicking material since it's 10 (long) miles.
-
Oh really good idea, I love it! A character running...hmm...

NYC was full when I went to sign up but considering doing one in another city-please tell us how it is and how hard it is to get the color out of your hair/clothes!
-
Welcome back! Adding you...

Stay off it and get it checked out. Even a sprain will sideline you for 2 months  more if you don't take care of it.

Obviously by posting this question here on MFP most people are going to say that this is all they use. I joined MFP years ago (2009 does my profile say?) and tried to "just" eat 1200 calories and exercise. I got nowhere. I've been on Jenny Craig for 4 months and have lost 20 pounds. I only have 8-10 more before I reach my…

Thanks everyone! I think it is a combo of him not bothering to clean it after use and using marinades/oils. Last night I just cleaned it myself, since it bothers me I figure I can be the one to try to do something about it.

I'm sure it won't take you that long. I trained as best I could and finished around 2:30...my friends who don't train AT ALL (and are therefore insane but that's another story) usually finish around 3:30. Too early to project but I'd put money on you finishing between 2:45-3:15 :drinker:

Publix will have everything you need! I actually miss it now that I'm back up north. If it has a "Greenwise" section, even better since that'll be more organic stuff, etc. Breakstones makes these cottage cheese + fruit "pots" (you'd call them) which would be easy to eat on the go. Maybe bring some plastic cutlery with you…

Before my first half I also read that smiling when the going gets tough will actually "fool" your body a little to think you are really enjoying yourself. So don't just smile when you cross the finish line (if you're like me you'll probably cry too) but smile throughout!

I swear my body goes on STRIKE at 140. I've gone from 157 to 137 since April (I'm 5'4") but a few have creeped back on and I'm smack dab at 140. How do I get it through to my body that 130 would be a much better place? Anyone in the same boat please add me!

Congrats! I've done 5 half marathons but would like to get much faster. I'm doing a ten miler in Disney in Oct and also using Jeff Galloway.

Weigh and log every day, but I turned off notifications so my roller coaster wouldn't show up in my feed :)

Truly inspiring! Great work!!

That is soooo awesome and I love how they are almost identical poses, etc. You both have changed this year, but your change is almost unbelievable. CONGRATULATIONS!!

Definitely going to try the vinegar thing, thanks everyone!
