I hear ya on the green tea. I actually drink it, but it definitely doesn't do the trick like coffee for me. It is sort of fun to start trying different teas though. That actually has distracted my addiction. But I don't know if there will ever be a replacement for me. Hope your doing good.

It's almost 11:00 PM and everyone in my house is asleep....and I'm drinking coffee. What's wrong with me?!!! I should just go to bed. It is a terrible addiction, that for me goes hand in hand w/ sitting in front of a computer. LOL Good luck to you TwentyTen!

Here is a site to download running music to. It is free and has the right beat for running. I found the link in FITNESS Magazine. It's http://www.motiontraxx.com/ I have used a couple of their playlists and liked them. Happy running!

I totally love the idea to put the "leftovers" in the fridge before we actually eat. I'm gonna start doing that tonight. Because I am the fastest eater at our table and the first to reach for seconds. And it seems a lot less rude than the strategy I've been doing, which is to finish and get up and start cleaning…

I just did a 'search' for the first time on here and found exactly what I was looking for. I generally stay within my calories except for the occassional (usually a couple times a month) fun day, but have noticed that there are certain times that I weigh myself that I am as much as 5 pounds heavier than normal. Then after…

I just got one for Christmas too...and I can't believe I haven't even tried to use it. But I would love to hear any great recipes or tips on how to make it work for a busy family.

What are you making? :drinker:

Bump

I have these ingrediants...and it sounds like you just helped me decide whats for dinner. Thanks! :flowerforyou:

I too don't have to do much and get a lot of muscle in my arms. I think some of it has to do with genetics. But I also have realized that I personally like to see a little definition. It's a matter of opinion, but I would think there are other people who find a well defined body attractive. Over all I try to keep in mind…

Boys! I have three boys too. Ages 9, 7 and 4. I believe God picks a special kind of woman to live in a house with only males. Funny thing is growing up there were 4 woman in my house and my dad. People always said my dad had a unique patience. I completely understand now. Boys and girls are sooooo different. By the way I…

This question is for those that have done a full marathon~ I have done one half marathon and loved it! I did the race in 1 hour 55 minutes. It was my very first race I had ever run and I was pretty proud of myself. At the end of the race I was so pumped I really wanted to just keep going and see how far I could go. But the…

I am really getting into the Christmas spirit now. I have been busy baking and decorating the house with the kids. There is snow on the ground and it has been icy cold outside. This makes for great hot tea drinking....but not so much for running. I am a YMCA member and did get to the gym 5 days this week. I ran three 4…

Family can be tough. You love 'em....but.... In general I think that eveyone has there limits on how much they are willing to help others. Unfortunately it sounds like your family has a much shorter giving time span than you need. I had an idea...maybe it wouldn't work (I don't know your whole story) but could you offer to…

Thanks! I  to bake.

Bumping. I keep seeing other people posting that they are planning on running a 1/2 or full marathon and wanted them to not miss this thread.

I would love to have a place to encourage and be encouraged while training. I am planning on doing my second 1/2 in Minneapolis June 6th. ~Steph

You are inspiring and beautiful! I love running and hearing about others who love it and feel the high of a successful run! Yeah for you!:drinker:

I agree 100%. I was a regular at a gym for years (same time/ same people) and as I got to know the regulars it always baffled me that after months and even years many (if not most) were still doing the same thing religiously. I saw very few people actually ever appear to have lost weight or get in better shape. I am not…

Awesome!!! Keep going! With each goal achieved you are becoming a stronger person inside and out! :flowerforyou:

I had a few minutes and enjoyed checking out your blog. Very nice! You are a woman after my own heart when it comes to running, family and food! I will definitely continue to follow. Thanks!!:drinker:

Good thing most women I know got their breasts put back to the way they looked pre-kids so they would feel "normal" and not to give anyone something to "play" with. But yes...I do agree there is definitely a reason to find a quality surgeon so you are getting sound advice on shape and size that is appropriate for…

Bumping~ Because I'm lucky enough to have my soldier home now and scheduled to be on the rear detachment while his unit is deployed next year. This means that he'll be IN COUNTRY! Yeah! But I know that there are women out there who would benefit from having the support of other military wives/ girlfriends trying to stay…

Oh this complaint is so common for all the mama's I know who are done having babies and worked so hard to take off the weight and are left with NO BOOBS! There are some excellent bras to mask the loss, but this isn't quite the same when it comes to married life. I know that there are going to be those out there that…

I hear ya! I try to remind myself that a little fear can be a healthy thing. It keeps me motivated. But I would love to have the sense of being satisfied too. I try to keep focused on setting new goals, (right now I'm learning some YMCA fitness classes). I think when life is stressful and feels out of control (and it often…
