I've been at this since January and have been successful. I have discovered over the past months that there is always one week where I tend to gain. So, maybe this was my one week? I will keep at it and check again next week for results.

I forgot to add...I currently use 1400 calories for my daily number.

Hi Ahoy_m8! That's awesome you are so close to your goal!! I'm also an emotional eater. I think that's why I gained 4 lbs within the past month because I was super stressed. But my brother is coming to visit in July. I haven't seen him in 2 years. I'd like to lose 5 lbs before I see him. Keep up the great work!

Thanks everyone for all the advice! You guys are great! I do plan to add exercise into my routine so I think that will help. Hi - I chose sedentary because I have a desk job and sit all day. It said low activity is someone who is on their feet all day like a sales person. Should I change mine to "low" if I plan to exercise?

Oh I also said my activity level is non existent. I currently do not exercise.

The 1,2000 calories was automatically calculated when I setup MFP. I said my current weight is 146.5 and that I want to lose 1 lb per week. MFP told me 1,200 calories. That seems insanely low and impossible to do. Is MFP wrong in its calculations?

Thank you both!
