Congrats!!! Upper strength is hard to get for some....**me included in that** I still can't do it, now I am gonna make it my goal to do at least 1 before the end of October...so I can say your rant and smile knowing I did it too. :-) Thanks for the inspiration.

Also keep in mind, if you are using the FITBIT and you are exercising, those calories are already calculated....you don't enter those. You can start an activity log of those exercises. The only exercise that you enter into the FITBIT are the ones that you cannot do with a FITBIT on. :-) If you do enter them, it will…

It means you haven't been active enough or burned enough calories.

I do work at getting at or above 1800. Sometimes it's hard but I feel better when I listen to my body and it's needs. I have a very active job and work out every day. I use a fitbit along with mfp and am very aware of what I need to do to maintain my goals. Currently am less than 1 pound from goal weigh!! From…

Bump... I will be using this thread in about 3 weeks as we have about 200 to harvest in the family garden. I know we do a "pumpkin" pie but use butternut squash instead. I'd suggest going to www.allrecipes.com to see what they might have there too :-)

bump...thanks for the support and being on MFP At the moment, I am good, but I could have a question later. :-)

Bump.... for later :-)

Well they will get it resolved. Rest assured that Fitbit stores up to 5 days activity. So if its up and running by then and provided your battery is charged on fitbit, then it should transfer over when things get fixed!! I went camping for 3 days and was worried at first, thinking that I would lose information but I…

Every time this subject comes up, I read what others have to say. Now there are some that will eat them back and there are some that won't eat them back. It's up to you and what your body needs. For me, I exercise a great deal and I know I have them to eat if I want to....BUT if I am not hungry, I am not going to eat all…

Second week....still over 10000 burned. I achieved this by weight training, elliptical, biking, hiking, gardening, wood chopping, walking, and of course my demanding job! i burn over 1200 calories a day just doing my job of chasing off task kids around the campus. UGH!!!

Hang in there. Listen to your body. i have completed level 1, 2, and 3 and no rest days. But if your body is telling you to stop, then listen. Jillian will also say .. do what you can and if you have to modify, that's ok, just keep moving in some form or fashion. As far as weights, by level 3, you will begin jump training…

It's a good workout and you will see a difference! I am on day 27 which is level 3, day 7. By far the level 3 is my favorite because it incorporates jump training. This week I added weights to my daily workout; going to the gym 3xs a week to do weights! Should be fun :-) Stay with it and just push through it when you feel…

Bump... Great deal of information....I need to process it more closely than just reading fast. :-) Thanks for all your information that you have posted...I find it very, very helpful. :-)

Well for the week, my fitbit shows that I am well over this goal. I burned over 10000 calories for the week. I did this by working out daily with the elliptical, doing circuit training, riding my mountain bike, walking, running/jogging, working in my yard/garden, and my job is very physically demanding...I chase kids all…

Stay with it. Your pics show a BIG and I mean BIG difference!!! Just reach inside and remember why you started this journey. When you take the kids to the park, walk with them, play with them. etc. Keep moving!! :-)) I am the mother of 3 adult children and 1 who is 12....the three older ones were close in age and they kept…

I find it amazing to see the courage that women like you have in posting before, in the middle, and the end pics :flowerforyou: That alone is worthy of being KUDOS above most people. I think your story of why you lost the weight is so real for so many women out there. And for those who are searching for a reason to get…

Funny that you mention your co-worker noticed your legs as long and lean. My 12 year old son told me a week ago, after starting 30 day shred, being in level 2, day 8 that my LEGS looked longer. I laughed it off and thought "ah, he's just being nice." But now that I read your story of 30 DS.....well maybe, just maybe there…

Update: Started Level 3 today and I love it too! It is different from the first two and I find that I am a great deal stronger than when I started the Level 1. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to add a little something different to their routine. :-)

Sounds like a fun way to work out. I think I can handle 7000 plus a week.

Bump Want to see what others say. :-) i am doing 30 day atm...level 2, day 9

I can repeat what you have already read from others. Having a background of knowing and working with people with control issues and other issues, you need to come to terms with what you want out of life and out of the relationship you are in. Your goals need to be defined and stick to them. I can see that you want to make…

KUDOS!!! My husband only uses meat that is raised by our family. We do not buy any meat from the store!

I am going to BUMP this thread as I am more vegetarian than anything atm. I gave up red meat/pork In February as I am one of those ppl that quit producing the enzymes that break down red meat and the aftermath of eating it was horrible for about 2 years. I do very little proceeded sugar, cheese, milk or bread. Have been…

I enjoyed reading your story. I can see that you took control of the one thing that you can always control...your attitude about you! :flowerforyou: You will reach your goal because you can see the change in your smile and eyes!!! I look forward to seeing your progress and changes to come over the months. Back pain is the…
