Running initially helped with weight loss. since I have so little to lose now I find it helps me maintain. Strength training is what changes my body now for me. Unfortunately I hate it so I'm inconsistent and its slow going for me.

My vacation starts next week and I've been really watching myself. No binges lately and despite the heat I have been keeping up with my running. I'm down another pound and am now back to where I started (I gained 5 when I lost track back in March). I take measurements again in two weeks so hopefully my trip doesn't throw…

I quit because for some reason I thought 3 weeks before Christmas was a good week to start....needless to say after the first half i got distracted. Now its summer and I prefer working out outdoors. I'll probably give it another go next December...

My husky goes running with me and likes to try to lay on me when doing sit ups and lick my face while doing push ups. crazy dogs!

Yes and no. He has told me that my goal is not what he is into and he would prefer if I stopped but he congratulates me when I reach milestones and mini-goals I set for myself. It's my body, not his.

My NSV: I was able to fit into my smaller pair of dress pants today without having to do the "suck-it-in and squat till they stretch" dance this morning :)

I'm glad that you are seeing a counsellor. If the one you are going to isn't helping are you able to try out a different one? Not all counsellors are created equal. You need to love yourself. The first year after a baby is so hard and you need to find time for yourself.

Moving is a workout! Sounds like you did fine. This weekend was the first in a long time that I had no binges AND got my long runs in. I'm actually proud of myself. I usually keep mine for two weeks, I think 7 days is very conservative, and there is a definite smell if it's gone bad! You do have to shake it as well.

My girls love it when I do my dvd's on rainy days and they join right in. they use their dolls as weights and try to keep up. Granted about 15 mins in they are laying on the yoga mat telling me stories but they still have fun. Your friend is dumb and it is never too young to learn about a healthy lifestyle.
