  • 42 and just finished the Disney Dopey challenge so guess you could call me a runner.
  • Please feel free to we appreciate that more than most know. Just got word from her Dr. that the clock has begun and if we do not transplant in the next 3 month she will start dialysis. Looks like your transplant took which is great. Thank you for the encouraging words and prayer.
  • Recent update to this wife had to go have an ultrasound on her arm for dialysis implant...Some days reality sucks.
  • Have to agree sounds like water weight which happens to us all but good news is it will adjust back down.
  • Greensboro area here my friend. Preping for my 1/2 and full marathon at the moment. Then back to the gyme days once done. Hope you are doing well.
  • Like others have said congrats on the quitting smoking, been there so I can understand. I ended up replacing smoking with MFP, go figure how that happened with all us crazy fitness people out here trying to be a healthier self. No doubt you will get where you want with the dedication you have already proven.
  • Losing almost 5 inches is a huge NSV and great proof of the hard work way to go.
  • Welcome to the group, a lot of great people on here, and fun times ahead.
  • A 10% loss is a huge accomplishment. Sounds like you have been trading fat for muscle which is good and there will come a point where you start to lose weight quickly and start to really lean down. Don't let the scale get to you, I would be curious to know if you are tracking your measurements how many inches you have…
  • Wow that is allot to take on for 1 day but hey the good news you made it through.
  • Have to agree with all the rest you look great and impressive what a difference 20 lbs makes. great job.
  • I started running every other day, 1/2 mile was my first distance and thought I was going to fall out. 2 years later I am running 4 days a week training for my marathon. It took time and good friends. I don't know that I would recommend running everyday as I like to give my legs a rest and do some cross training, but my…
  • Amazing dedication and work, you look amazing and I am sure will inspire others.
  • Only thing I can really thing of is upper body strength training with weights as an exercise that would not put too much pleasure on your hips. Will be interesting to see what your Dr. says the injury is and what the recommendations are.
  • Man that is amazing and a great thing to be proud of. Quick scan through your pics and looks like lifting is your thing. For me it was not that long ago that I was smoking a pack a day and doing nothing but watching TV. Was not that long ago I decided to run after hitting 155 lbs and thought I would pass out after 1/2 a…
  • WTG...You look great, the hard work is working for you.
  • Normally I would be going to a HIIT class today but we have the "Female Forest Gump" here local tonight so think I will be doing the 10k with the other veterans tonight. http://myfox8.com/2014/07/20/greensboro-runners-to-join-female-forrest-gump-as-she-jogs-across-the-country-for-veterans/

  • For me I find that days I do not drink enough water I feel more hungry, so may want to try drinking more water. 2nd part I would ask is are you eating back your exercise calories? I battle the munchies at work on slow days. Not always easy to win but worth the fight.
  • For me the week days are easier to stay on track. Most weekends friends or family are wanting to get together and cook out.
  • There is a lot of back on forth on this topic in the forms and most times the answer you get will depend on who you ask. For me I choose to try to eat the calories back. I am not always able to just due to the amount I burn in a long run and how late in the day it is. For me it is a case of trying to keep my body out of…
  • I will always at least wave but most the time I will say hey or if they look like they are having a tough run I will try and say something motivating.
  • Man you are looking strong and well on your way to a healthier you. You have done great
  • Being raised for a good part of my childhood with my Grandfather as my role model I was also instilled with a lot of these values. To this day I still hold to them in part from my military time and in part to honor a man I admired so much. I do feel like at times we forget to pass these on and that it is slowly fading…
  • All I can say is that this is extremely powerful message and you are an amazing woman to take the control back of your life. You will no doubt get back to who you truly are and I expect you will find a more powerful you at the end.
  • I have a motoactiv with a HRM now and I am looking to upgrade to the moto 360 when it is released but I swear by mine. I load all my stats for weight, age and such which helps to dial in your calorie burn. I also do a lot of running so the GPS feature is nice. the advantage in my opinion is not only do I get a more…
  • Just my humble opinion but I think that has to be a personal choice based on how you feel those days where you pull 12 hours. If you just don't feel like you have the energy to really get the best out of a workout then it may be best to skip it and just concentrate on you food for those days and make sure you are getting…
  • Wait you mean we have to choose one, well dang that kills my mood for the day.
  • Dang look at you just rubbing that in. :grumble: haha can't blame ya there enjoy it as much as you can for the both of us. I do miss Miami at times.
  • Welcome to the group, and I have to say I hate the fact that they were right on the catching up to you part cause that 1 got me too. You will find a bunch of motivated people in this group. Feel free to add if me if you like.
  • For me it is my wife who always tells me how well I am doing and always there to support me in my runs. Have to say sounds like the move was a great NSV for you, and congrats on the new place.
