  • ^^This When I first went to vegetarian the fake meat help make the transition a great deal easier. Now that I have been at it for almost a year I no longer eat that fake meat. I did some research on it and it is worse for you then real meat. Now I really enjoy the veggie based foods. But it is all a matter of personal…
  • He seems to be a control freak. I would never allow someone else control how I feel. "He who angers you, controls you"-Buddha. It sounds like he is angry that you moved on. I would validate those feels in his. Something like “It seems like you are upset that I have moved on” This makes him look at his self and he cannot…
  • Love me some Metallica. Been rocking The Unforgiven lately
  • Some people say “Oh a relationship should be so easy" this is crap. For any relationship to work (marriage, friend, parent/child) it requires work. You must be validating, trusting, open, and honest. You must work to find common ground but never give until you are angry. Your anger should be your guide as to how far and…
  • I have a great job with great people. My problem is I have lost the passion for what I do. I am working towards a new career in FVIP and Anger Management counseling. I get to do this on the weekends and it is really the only time I feel alive while I work. I believe you have to find your passion and go after. I will be…
  • My sister works in a doctor’s office and they had girl come in named La-a. She had no idea how to pronounce it. The girls said 'It's "La-Dash-A' The dash don't be silent"

  • No it is for those who took part in last years challenge. You can't be more then 10% less then you were last year. it is to kind of keep those like me who have a great retuin down already from just killing everyone just starting.
  • Got to agree with this! I either do it right or not at all. I am leaning towards the not at all. Just help someone else lose the weight so they can benefit from the challenge!
  • You guys basically confirmed my thought process. I think I will sit this one out. I may help those who ask, but I don't want to take a step backwards to win a "toy". Thanks for all the help and support. This site is the only reason I stay on track. You guys all ROCK!!
  • 6' 4" i want to get to 220lbs. I started at 320lbs. This is a little higher then my BMI says i should be. But my wife said she doesn't want me to look like a stick. She likes a guy who has some meat.
  • I went vegetarian over a month ago. But I will still do this with you. I may have an unfair advantage though.
  • ^^This! All i have is metal. My favorite is Eluveitie, Five Finger Death Punch, and Disturbed.
  • ^^This my wife and I have been on two dates in 2 years. Our first child is 2 by the way!
  • I have noticed this too. I am not sure how the two are related. I would like to see what others have to say.
  • It is all very dependent on your height, weight, current fitness level, etc. But rule of thumb is a pound of fat is made up of 3500 calories. Shoot to be at least that far under your BMR for the week and you should be good. But truly it comes down to what works best for you. All these numbers are only at best educated…
  • I had 2 smaller the fun size Kit Kat's 1 fun size twix. I am really proud of myself there.
  • I just forced myself to drink nothing but water for the first few weeks I started this weight loss. It was very hard at first. I would not allow myself to have anything else. It has been almost 3 months now and I don't like the taste of anything else now. Soda has too much sugar for me know. I still drink coffee every…

  • The truth about "Starvation Mode" is not that you metabolism slow and you stop losing weight; it is your body starts to store fat and burn muscle. The body is very efficient at what it does. Muscle is harder to burn so it using that first while it has the energy to do so. Fat (not Trans-fat) is easier to burn so it saves…

  • I am always available to give and receive help. Feel free to add me everyone.
  • Will be 31 end of November
  • That is my plan. To start with lower fat cheeses then slowly move to less and less. I thought about looking for some vegan cook book as well. I think my first daughter is going to not eat meat at all. So we need to start learning to cook without it. Plus it is supposed to be better for you. I guess time will tell.
  • You will get there it is all about little steps at first. If you try to do too much at first you may get overwhelmed and quit. The little changes will bring on great success.
  • Weekend is very tough. My advice is to have a plan and stick to it. Plan dinners and lunches. Bring snacks if possible to social events. If no look at the nutritional facts online of the restaurant you plan to go to. Most will have “Healthier" choices. Good luck and know a day or two will not completely kill all you have…
  • Feel free to add me. I am on here all the time. I love to help in any way I can. If you have questions feel free to message me and ask. If I don’t know I can find out. My uncle is a doctor and in to holistic medicine so he will almost always know. I look forward to getting to know you all and helping in any way I can.
  • Just know you can do it. It is a marathon not a sprint. One bad day or even a few calories over once will not kill all your hard work. Just learn from it and see what you ate and when. Then tomorrow you will know better how to succeed.
  • That is a really good idea. I never thought about that. But I will do it from now on.
  • Yes this is true. If you consume less the 1200 calories or so the body goes into starvation mode. It will start to store fat. Not exactly sure on the number of calories but it is something like that.
