I have been doing similar things. I have a list of rewards for every 2-5 pounds lost. List includes things that are usually around 20-25 dollars. As the weight loss increases, so do the rewards. What do you consider "Inexpensive" I paid 60 bucks for my Polar heart rate monitor and I love it. I think you can find cheaper ones on Amazon.

Cervelo is an amazing bike - if you really want one, I would take a look at craigs list or your local classified ads. My bike was the cheapest one in the shop from Cannondale and it has been amazing. Over 3500 miles on that bike in 3 years. Love it.
