  • Ice cream is a bad one for me, too. It is permanently banned from my house. My fiance and kids don't need it any more than I do, at least not in the house, on hand at any time. Someone else suggested this and it's what works here too - if you want your goodies as an occasional treat, GO OUT and eat a single serving of…
  • Something I'm going to toss out there that no one else has mentioned yet...if they are seriously overweight, they may be having modest success but you won't *see* the difference until they've lost the first 30-40 pounds. Do you spend a lot of time studying your co-worker's overweight bodies in detail? I would venture a…
  • I did try them, only once. I did the dry-frying method. They weren't bad, but not really good either. Eh. If I'm absolutely losing my head over a pasta craving, they might do in a pinch, but....eh.
  • Lesa, that may be the problem. I don't work out all that often but I did tonight. I remember reading somewhere that exercise suppresses appetite but I only did 10 minutes worth of Jillian Michaels, lol, obviously not enough to work up an appetite, but maybe just enough to shut it off? Weird. I made a little snack of some…
  • Thanks Lesa!! Tons of good info here.
  • Today was my first full "good girl" day after the weekend binge...aye carumba...I've been going just a little bit over every day on silly stuff (too much creamer in the coffee, etc.) and not working out, but I stayed under calories today and got my booty moving again tonight! Feeling strong again. I hate weekends too, but…
  • Had this problem when I was younger, too big even at close to my goal weight. I wore minimizing bra all the time and it did seem to help just a bit with back pain. It also made me feel less self-conscious. Mine have actually gotten smaller (or maybe just less dense) with age. Can't say I'm happy about that either!! But…
  • What kind of diet are you following? If you are doing low-carb, if you are in ketosis, a lot of people sleep lighter/less when in ketosis, myself included. (I kind of like this...allows me to pull all-nighters and half-nighters and get more stuff done around the house.) BUT...I know....long-term sleep deprivation is never…
  • Any moving around you do is good for you and burns calories. Good job, keep it up!!

  • Count me in! Today's weight is 185. Working out is just walking/slow jogging daily, with a little bit of Tae Bo thrown in when I remember to do it. (Maybe 1-2x week)
  • Approaching 40...Missouri my entire life.
  • 52 pounds!!??!! I'm jealous!! Seriously...you have lost the equivalent of a first-grade child. Cause for celebration!! I have watched my mom and dad go through this when they diet together. She has to scratch and sweat and struggle for every single pound lost....all he has to do is cut out pop and he drops 20 pounds. Every…
  • Hi, I'm new here too, and I've a few more months left in my 30's... Female, mom of three (20, 18 and 18). Youngest twin has significant disabilities so I'm wanting to lose weight and get stronger and healthy so that I can continue to care for her at home as long as humanly possible!! Oh yeah...also getting married in…
