I would imagine it's false, but who knows... (geddit?? "Who" knows? LOL) he he he

There's this too... http://www.bbc.co.uk/archive/changingwho/

Wel, *if* it's true, he hasn't accepted yet so we'll have to see... Either way, Auntie Beeb is saying they're still looking - this was posted earlier today... http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/22843008

LOL Yeeah as much as I liked him, he always seemed like a school boy LOL sometimes I half expected him to threaten to tell his parents or a teacher...
-
Yeah, I agree about the angels... Although the two parter in Season 5 was good. I'll always remember those eps becaus I saw them "live" when I went back home to England. I haven't seen Jekyll.... but at least if James Nesbitt were doctor I would have a small chance of looking like him at Halloween LOL
-
LOL That's funny because it was exactly that f**king flying bus episode that got a former friend into Who in the first place LOL I always tell noobs to watch Blink first.

Seems like there was a lot of misinformation going around claiming that Smith was staying... here's the BBC News story... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-22741493

That's not a bad idea... it would be kinda cool... but based on what's been posted online, I think they've already determined he's an older version of Eccleston... not sure how they're going to do thatr, since Eccleston regenerated into Tennant at a relatively young age...

johnp, those are excellent points... I'd never thought of it that way, but it's true - there's nothing to stop the producers from putting together a Special where 3 or 4 Doctors actually fight the Time War concurrently. mailaig, I didn't know that about the ratings... I'm not surprised either. And yes, I agree re Moffat. I…

LOL Yeah but celebs say all kinds of things and it's hard to believe what you read on the interwebs...
-
I am a little... but I'm also kinda pleased... with all the rumours flying around, it sounded as though he was done. Maybe they made him an offer he couldn't refuse LOL Hopefully he's staying because he wants to and not because they just threw some more money at him - otherwise he's just going to stroll through the next…
-
I fnd this fascinating... but at the same time I want to scream "curse you Eccleston!!" and shake my fist in the air just because he's given Moffat the excuse he needs to make this into the X-Files.... *sigh* BUT I'm fascinated to see how this will all play out...
-
I was actualy disappointed with it... I had to watch it twice LOL The first time I keep drifting off to sleep - what happened to the plot?? Did it die with the Doctor? A bunch of scary men kidnap his friends, they go to the planet and then there's a LOT of concepts thrown around and FAR more questions asked than answered.…

"no kids on dr who, it aint sunday familly 10pm movie " I agree... no kids... because you know nothing permanently bad will happen to them so even as a plot device they're a waste of time... ...however, Doctor Who started as a kid's show... in England it has a strong cultural association because people always say they…

Great catch on the Doctor being responsibile for a billion deaths... I missed that! I *did* notice the catchphrases though... thought that was a nice touch :)
-
LOL!!! In general, I liked it.... but yes, it definitely could have been better. The Borgified aspect was annoying.. I wonder why they did that... I mean, surely everyone would be thinking that it's just the same as the Borg? Seemed a bit weak to me. The schizo Doctor was irritating... and I don't believe that Cyber…

LOL I've often wondered what Amy really saw in him...
-
Yeah, I have to be honest and say I'm (finally) getting a bit tired of the sonic screwdriver being used as a magic wand... it's been used as a pretty weak get-out-of-jail-free plot device a few times now...
-
LOL Yes, I liked that remark "the gobby Australian" LOL That was pretty funny... and Strax had some great moments... Now you've mentioned the pacing, I have to agree with you... it was pretty talky at the beginning and it seemed to take forever for the Doctor to appear. I think if there'd been some mystery as to his…

Wellll... yeah... I kinda thought the same thing... It reminded me of a ST:TNG and Doctor Who crossover comic a co-worker has where - surprise - they battle the Cybermen. Hmmmm.
-
I'm looking forward to this... wellll... apart from the bratty kids... but then, if you do your math, Neil Gaiman + Cybermen = Awesomeness :) Can't believe we're almost at the penultimate episode already...
-
I liked it... It was a bit obvious who the "monster" was but it strongly reminded me of classic Who... especially the title LOL Lots of great humour here too... I especially like the little boy who spoke like a GPS and whose name was basically Tom Tom ha ha ... I rolled my eyes and laughed inside LOL Loved the bit at the…

I can't access faceyspacey from work but I'll try to look it up when I get home :)
-
Yeah, I thought that... but soon discarded the thought because all the timey-wimeyness made my head hurt LOL
-
Yeah, I kinda agree with Angry... not quite as vehemently though LOL The zombies were a token monster of the week... they felt as though someone planned it all out (yes, like a fan) and then said "hang on! We haven't got a monster!!" and they got thrown in at the last moment with a very weak explanation... A fanfic is a…

It was good on the face of it... some great moments when Clara is lost in the TARDIS, specifically the swimming pool, the store room full of things from the many incarnations of the Doctor... plus, of course, the huge library with the Time War book that makes such a prominent mention of the Doctor... that scene made me…
-
Yeah, I think it's basically jealousy....
-
See, it's little nods and references like that that really make me wish I'd actually watched the classic series as a kid!!! Thank God you're here LOL
-
Yes, hopefully we've reached a turning point and the episodes will pick up... I really think Cold War as weak - as was A Town Called Mercy in the first half of the season. In fact, Saturday night was the first time I was kinda "meh" about watching Who... I actually wasn't that bothered... fortunately, they proved me wrong…
-
I didn't know that about Cap'n Jack... hmmm... interesting... so who/what is Clara??
