This entire thread is a really transparent plea for attention. Hows that for harsh

Top round is pretty much the leanest steak you can buy, I enjoy it.
-
With weight that light thats more aerobic training if anything.
-
Unless you eat the exact same amount of calories each day its not supposed to be accurate. Its just a fun little addon.
-
Whenever i get hungry I drink a diet coke or a big water or something. If im still hungry 30 minutes later ill eat something. It really helps those occasional hunger pangs.
-
Theres really no such thing as starvation mode for people with fat to lose. Do whatever you feel comfortable doing and what you'll stick to.
-
How heavy are you? Because my BMR is like 2500 (i eat between 1200-1500 a day) so if I ate 0 cals id barely lose 4 pounds. Cmon smarten up a bit. edit: And eating back calories is the most counter productive thing if you are trying to lose weight (NOT bodybuilding). You might as well not exercise.
-
Which is why you shouldnt be eating exercise calories back anyway, its counterproductive.
-
Its because the cost of living and food is cheap in the US, they could not afford to do this in the UK. Part of business is giving your customer the best value possible for their money to get repeat business. Its not some freaking conspiracy

Most diet pills on the market work on appetite suppression, which if you had any control at all will not be an issue for you. Most of the pills are harmless but my point is that they are a waste of time and money for anyone who can control what goes in their mouth.
-
Don't eat your calories back if you can help it. If you have fat on your body that you are trying to use, why would you deliberately eat more? If you are starving because of your workout and absolutely must then thats fine, but its there if you need it, not a requirement.
-
you did make this up and anyone who paid attention in high school biology would know that.
-
As a microbiologist who did 4 years of dietrelated research in college its really hard to read the forums sometimes, what with all the toxins and "starvation mode" is real threads.
-
I really like meat so im low carb kinda by default.
-
I guarantee you no one cares if you are fat and working out (if they think anything at all it will be positive because you are improving yourself). Its in your head.
-
If you have any kind of body fat to lose, then starvation mode does not exist for you. You're body, when in desparate need of calories, does NOT turn it into fat. It uses it and then uses your body reserves. I mean its common sense.
-
Like I understand not everyone can become a biologist, physicist etc but didn't you take biology and chemistry in high school?
-
I was using hyperbole. *facepalm But think about it this way. Why on earth would you're body, when starving, store the few calories taken in as fat instead of using them?
-
No you're metabolism isnt "slowing down". Starvation mode isnt a thing unless you are 0% body fat. Something to keep in mind is that MFP estimates are just that, estimates. And it has a wide variation too. But it sounds like you are making progress, which is the more important part so keep it up!

You absolutely can lose weight. Weight loss is mostly about your diet. But exercise has tons of benefits to mood, strength, etc but you definitely will lose weight if you stick to your diet.
-
1200-1500 depending on my exerciseing
-
As long as you are recording it on one of the days it doesnt really matter.
-
For anyone still in support of the "starvation mode": You don't need to understand research studies or complicated biochem to understand why its bunk. Just ask yourself this Why on Earth would your body, while starving, turn the few calories you are taking in into fat and not use them!? Turning stuff into fat is when your…

I'm sure someone here mentioned this but starvation mode is not a real thing. Its on par with the myth that you need to eat 5-7 meals a day. Its old information. Nutrition is still an infant field (with lots of people trying to make their name known, leading to shoddy studies) and what was hot news ten years ago is often…

Im pretty low carb almost by default because I'm working out so I try to eat tons of protein and that eats up my cals for the day. Cool part is I work in a hospital lab so I can check myself for ketones (through urinalysis) for free. It only took a few days and still I feel normal. As an aside it should be used as a way to…

It fluctuates 2 pounds over the day, and I weigh more at night. Weigh yourself only in the morning for more consistent results.
-
^^killer abs!
-
I do it once a day but at the same time every day (early morning) to get the most consistent results. I've weighed myself at night after eating/drinking and it can be up to 2 pounds more than the morning. It disappears overnight though which is awesome.
-
Yea most people could not care less if fat people or working out. If anything its a positive thing because you are there exercising.
-
I'm not really calling you out personally but you're just the latest to parrot this. "Artificial"is a meaningless term and there is NOTHING in diet soda (or really any other diet drink) that causes cardiac problems or cancer. Seriously just go down the ingredient list one by one. There are no secret ingredients. Does…
