  • Ah I see, nice one! Yeah I've decided to try intermittent fasting which is another fat burning method! Different strokes for different folks though :) COngratulations on your weight loss!
  • Will do! Thank you :)
  • ...and I most definitely will! Thanks for the site names.
  • Yep sounds about right to me! But I'm wondering how I can stick to a high protein, low carb diet and still take in the amount of calories that I need for the day...any advice? What did you diet consist of?
  • Thanks for all the advice/opinions/inputs everyone, I'll make sure to check out these Stronglifts and Starting Strength programs, as they seem to be fairly popular. Cheers :)
  • Ah it's great that I decide to ask people AFTER buying them. *facepalm* Thanks for the opinion and my wallet says "Nice try".
  • Ha I won't ask for details...I've heard what this stuff can do to digestive systems. Not. Pretty. Thanks for the reply :)
  • No need for the sass, Captain Sassypants. I'd appreciate all the advice I can get my hands on, regardless of whether someone seems to be plugging a certain product or not.
  • Woah...yeah first hand experience is what I'm looking for and stuff like this makes me say "**** that". Thanks for the input and hope you and your man are fully recovered.
  • Oh right cool! Could vary from supplement to supplement however...as far as I know 300mg of caffeine a day is the "safe maximum", if such a thing exists. However if the pills I have contain the same amount of caffeine, and they recommend to reach a goal of 4 pills per day, I've already exceeded the amount of caffeine that…
  • Yep I take protein powder regularly for weight lifting, but it doesn't really have any effect on energy whatsoever ha Purely for regeneration :) Yeah P90x seems very interesting...but as far as I can see it's a ridiculous amount of money to pay for some guy telling you to do push ups in your own house haha But hey, this is…
  • Hmm not really considering a majority of people's inability to lose weight in purely psychological and due to complete laziness. I hear ya though, the "magic pill" theory's ringing in my ears. Thanks for the reply.
  • I'm not sure the exact amount of caffeine that these things contain though :/ I don't usually have any trouble with energy but a bit more wouldn't go astray ha They've apparently had some serious side-effects on people who hadn't noticed a huge change in their health though which is worrying. Thanks for your input :)
  • Ah I see, never knew they were an anti-diuretic! Yeah the appetite supression's definitely another pull factor...I kind of want to try intermittent fasting too, but I'm stuck between the two. Thanks for the reply :)
  • Well hey, Jack wouldn't have gotten up to the sky without a few magic beans along the way. I'm using them as an aid to an already tedious workout, not just taking them and stuffing my face watching daytime TV. If I wanted to get to my goal without the hard work, I'd just get liposuction. (That's hypothetical seeing as I'm…
  • Yeah I get you...it wasn't so much the ingredients than the side effects that's freaking me out. I knew when I was buying them that they're borderline illegal and basically just a media-hyped, thinly veiled amphetamine. I might give them a go for a week or so or I might get a refund...the latter's kind of looking more…
  • Yeah plateau seems to be the word of the day lately cos it's happening to me too...mhmm they'll definitely pump you up and give you extra energy for a harder workout, but terms like "palpatations" "heart attack" "blood pressure" "stroke"...when they're floating around every forum I go to, the whole extra energy kind of…
  • Ha yep I knew all that when I was buying them, but the illusion of short term satisfaction is a terrible dimmer of logic :P Don't worry you're not the bearer of bad news, more the bringer of rationality. I'm having second thoughts about them anyway, the more research I do regarding them, the more the costs seem to outweigh…
  • Yeah I get where you're coming from about the over the counter thing, but it's not like I'm just popping these pills then watching TV all day ha Thanks for the feedback :)
  • Yeah I'd consider myself ripped off. But hey, ain't nothin' for free in this world. Thanks for the reply.
