My husband has UC and for a guy who has never changed weight plus or minus 5lbs over 15 years gained 25lbs in 2 months on prednisone. Stopped taking it and lost the weight very quickly. He was on lialda but it wasnt working so now he is using humira. No side affects from either of those weightwise.

My digital scale is quirky. I have to turn it on, step on it then step off. Wait for it to turn off and the turn it on again without moving it. The first time I turn it on I weigh 4lbs less than the 2nd. I always use the higher reading.

I would also like to add that having to feed your family 3 -5x a day makes it hard to not think about food. Plan the food, shop for the food, cook the food, clean up the food. Food food food. Ugh.

Honestly eating anything less than 3000 calories for me requires thinking about what my food for the day will be. On days I dont plan I will guaranteed end up at or above 3000.

There are so many variables. Everyones schedule is different. Kids, no kids. Work schedule. Preference. How much sleep some people want, must have, dont get. Some people eat and go straight to bed others want a few hours after dinner to unwind. gym, other commitments etc etc etc. We eat dinner at 5:30. Kids are in bed by…

I had my gallbladder removed in August of 2016. I have not had any issues. I tend to eat higher fat/lower carb but not as a diet but just the foods I like tend to be that way.

My entire moms side except one uncle is overweight. My dads entire side is very thin.

No but I should!! Nothing worse than a hunger attack while running errands (and there's always more errands than anticipated lately) or the kids are hungry. Thanks for reminding me that I need to get some healthy snacks in there.

This thread is interesting to me because I wonder the same thing. My moms entire side of the family is heavy and my dads side is entirely thin people. Did these two households just learn completely different eating habits? I was thin until I was 25. I went from 140lb to 280lbs. I swear all I do is think about food.

I totally understand. I lost 113 and gained 105 back. So mad at myself. I don't understand how I can do it all right for so long then completely throw it all away. Smh.

Me too. I held onto the weight until I was done. Then the weight came off.

Lost 113# and finally my ring fits! I took it off when I was 4 months pregnant with my daughter 8 years ago. Finally was able to wear it aug 2015.

I was super skinny as a child. Normal weight as a teen and started gaining at 25 when I got married and stopped taking care of myself.

Woah!! Amazing transformation.

I do too so when I am done working out I take cool wash clothes and hold them on my face for a few minutes. It really helps in my opinion. I rinse with fresh cool water and hold for about 30 seconds for about 5 minutes.

I love it but its one of the biggest triggers for my reflux/migraines.

I drink a lot of coffee with french vanilla creamer. Not all brands taste the same so I found one that gives the strongest flavor. For 70 calories I get 2 tablespoons (30ml) and a nicely flavored coffee.

I without a doubt have a very short fuse and question my sanity daily. I have cried in stores! Sleep is important not only for your physical but also mental health. I have about a year and a half left of this torture. I will say though that I am glad it did not keep me from losing the weight. That is at least one ray of…

Ive lost 113# 287 down to 173 while working nights. Monday-friday I only sleep about 1 1/2-2 hours. Sometimes a 30 minute nap on my lunch break. It does make you extremely tired but if you just get up and move the energy comes naturally. Working out in the morning after drop off for school powers me through my day until I…

I would have to say from what Ive seen 99% of the people that have posted their before and after look a lot younger after they lose the weight.

My dog will lick me relentlessly if I try to do any ab exercises on the floor. Planks? No way. Lol.

Both myself and my sister in law were on this med for two different reasons. She lost weight mainly because it made her soda taste flat so she gave up her 5 mountain dews a day. I didnt have any side effects except sleep issues and did not gain or lose weight. I didnt realize this was actually a drug doctors would…
