How did this go? Am thinking of doing the same myself!!

Oh, I forgot to add.... I love cats!

Yeah, join my sad, sobbing club! I get so upset when I remember that he is gone (usually I remember because an episode doesn't wow me as much as the old ones did). Still, won't ever stop watching, I've been a fan since I was 8!

Hello, British folks! I am totally a non-Brit (sorry), but one of those crazy Americans who loves all things UK... particularly the old sitcoms. I know, it's nuts - I can't help it! Maybe if I watched less As Time Goes By, I wouldn't need to be here. I'm looking to lose about 75 pounds (starting around 250), and the groups…

ME! I'm with you!! :)

You are doing so great!!!! Amazing results when you push yourself!
-
This. Right now, just adjusting my calories and exercising more is the only thing I can handle. If I push trying to eat clean or never have treats, then I won't do it. So yeah, maybe one of these days my calories will be 1400 and my food will be oreos and bacon, but not eating any more than that will be a success in my…

It seems like you are completely in charge of what your health goals are, and that is awesome! If your goal is being healthier and stronger, it might make sense to switch your approach from what you were doing to something more geared towards creating lean long muscle instead of looking at weight. I understand what it is…

I only have one semester left, but I plan on using my last semester to try to boost my GPA one last time (unfortunately everyone else will have another semester of grades to outpace me in the curve), I'd like to pack lunch every day, and use the gym on campus at least once a week for weights.

Hi, my name is Brynn and I'm a 3rd year (graduating a semester early) at UConn Law. Done in December, then trying to keep my sanity (and my new healthy eating) while studying for the bar... eep! :)

A thousand times this.

OMG thats like so totally my favorite food to feed the trolls that live on the interwebs! >.>

Although we disagree on Lean Cuisines, I have to say I love your ticker... I am re-watching Supernatural right now :D
-
In addition to eating Lean Cuisine, I am also part of a Growers Association share, where I get a huge load of farm fresh local organic produce every week. I grow my own organic herbs as well, and love the fresh high quality foods I can create with all of that. Just because I enjoy frozen meals as part of my current weight…

Oh and my favorites are the butternut squash or mushroom ravioli lean cuisines. wait for them to be on sale, and look for coupons. i generally get them for less than 2 bucks a piece, but I'm a crazy coupon person. :) For SmartOnes, I like the pasta primavera, the riccotta and spinach, the alfredos... basically anything…

I think it's easy for people to say "no, because i dont eat processed foods", but there are others who dont have the same desires. clean eating might be your goal, but might not be someone else's! For me, personally, I love a few select flavors of smart ones and lean cuisines. by encorporating them into my diet every other…

Also - if these aren't answers for you, you should try posting in the main forum on exercise. they have great helpful people there, including professionals!

If I were you I would try things like power yoga or pilates. It's hard at first, because you can't do what they are doing, but it gets easier and it's easy to modify the positions to something less stressful and easier. Maybe a small stationary bike, or something like that that can fold up? Free Weights and a big ball you…

Did anyone get around to trying this? I'm nervous about making it since I'm such a huge fan of regular (bad for you) banana bread

Just as a comparison, my fiancee is 5'4" and weighs 60 pounds less than me, but has a TINY frame - she looks big because she carries it all differently. I'm definitely bigger, but she and I appear similarly overweight due to the difference in our body's natural ideal healthy weights!
-
Add please! I am going to post a picture here if you don't mind... this is me at 180, and I had a bit of a tummy that you can't see because of the way I'm facing, but I don't look fat! I felt and looked normal at that weight! normal for my body frame. Aiming for 160 because I think I can be in better shape than that…

Thanks for the example of "not productive"! And right under my comment, too - perfect :)

Wow this topic was popular! I just wanted to say that I think ninerbuff's comments following the original post were more insightful of his attitude - I honestly think that the tone of the first post was what made it sound judgmental, not the content. I don't think he is a terrible trainer, person, or fatty-fat-fat-person…

Ooooooo I like the sound of this! I know, I need to stay away from the crackers. Honestly, I don't even eat all of the carbs that this thing gives me to eat anymore, but I don't like my veggies with cheese or hummus, I like them plain... so I either need a miracle cracker that is low cal, or other things like this pop chip…

Haha, I couldn't agree more!!

Actually it's probably because this is a website where people who are trying to get in shape/lose weight come to offer support, encouragement and motivation, and a topic like this (whether meaning to or not) can incite others to be... well, less than that. It's just not productive. The attitude on this site is so…

It makes me happy to hear your story has a happy ending! Congrats to you on your success with your weight, and also on working through the issues that contributed to it! You are an inspiration :)

I don’t drink. And yet my tax dollars pay for cirrhosis, drunk driving accidents and alcohol poising. I’ve never done drugs. And yet my tax dollars pay for people whose lives and bodies fall apart due to drug abuse. I look both ways before I cross the street. And yet I have to pay for people who get run over after failing…
