  • I'm 9 months out and just got back at my pre-baby weight a couple of weeks ago (which I had only been at for a month before getting pregnant!). This is my first, and nursing has been such a help! I love the extra 500 cals I get to eat and still lose!!! Though I didn't lose an ounce the first 6 weeks, until I started…
  • There is a paved trail about a mile from me, so we take the stroller and go for a 2 mile walk before lunch (the sidewalks in my neighborhood are too old & I feel bad for LO with all the cracks & bumps!!). The last week or so, though, it's been too hot and stormy! :-( Luckily breastfeeding helps me still hit my calorie goal…
  • Started level 3 last night... the exercises aren't that hard, but when you do them with the weights I can't get through all of them! I think I'm going to use lighter weights today just to try to get all the way through without stopping to rest, then work my way back up. No new measurements yet, but I'm seeing some muscles…
  • I use 3s because that's what I had lying around. The moves are plenty tough for me with them!
  • I've been a vegetarian for years and have a history of this as well. It has happened MUCH less often since joining the site, as that pie chart on the app helps me keep an eye on my protein. I'm sure I was barely eating any before! Anyway, I grab a string cheese. It is healthy and low-cal, and won't spike your sugars like…
  • I started a few days earlier than many of you, but I moved up to level 2 today :-) I like the exercises... there are some fun ones but my shoulders are going to be sore as you are in a plank position like 1/3 of the time!
  • I'm in. I started last week and am doing it in the evenings so tonight will be day 8. Days 1 & 2 my legs were sooooo sore I could barely sit/stand. Since day 4 I haven't been in pain. The cardio isn't a problem for me, but some of the strength moves I still can't do for the entire time! I want to hurry up and see what…
  • Buy a new belly ring since it will be the first time anyone will have seen me in a bikini in about 3 yrs... Also loving the ideas of shooting new family photos. We will look better than our wedding pics! (3 yrs ago)
  • I did. Lost 18 lbs so far towards my goal of 22 by summer. Had one plateau for about 3 wks after losing the first 13. Hoping I'm able to lose the last 4 before a trip coming up in June, but if not it is because I am starting to add a little muscle. Just started doing JM 30 Day Shred to help. I'm so glad that I haven't had…
  • Started out as a picky eater as a kid & wouldn't want to eat my pets, so why would I eat another animal? I don't have a lot of trouble finding replacement foods (veggie burgers, etc), and after not eating it for almost 18 yrs I dunno what my body would do! Plus the things I've seen/heard about all the weird hormones &…
  • I have been a vegetarian for years, but don't mind that other people eat meat and certainly don't bother them about it. It's too bad there are people that would just approach a stranger that way.
  • I could never eat 500 under in a day! I go for an extra walk and try to stay a little under for the next 3 days or so. By the end of the week, I always average out right around my goal.
  • I bit the embarrassment bullet last weekend and bought a shake weight. They look so ridiculous but I thought if it would actually help me lose the flab, I would give it a try. Believe it or not, I think I am already starting to see results. p.s. I teach 2nd-4th graders :-)
  • I used to eat a ton of pasta as that was pretty much the only thing both me and my husband liked. Since I started counting calories, I realized I needed to cut back on it. My go-to meal now to up my protein without a lot of carbs is a big green salad with a Quorn "naked chik'n cutlet" on the side (they are only 80 cals…
  • My dad had a recurring problem with that and got really into biking about 10 years ago. I thought it would make it worse, but it didn't. I don't know if that's the case for everyone, though.
  • I just discovered this a couple weeks ago! I haven't tried it in a sandwich or anything, but it was excellent in a smoothie and I even added it to a peanut butter/chocolate pie recipe without any family members noticing! I found it in the health food aisle at Hy-Vee. I don't know where you live, so I don't know if you have…

  • Your BMR basically only covers what it takes to keep you alive while you are sleeping or laying still. You burn more than that every day just by sitting, standing, and walking at work, even if you have a sedentary job.
  • I had mine at lightly active but moved it down to sedentary a couple of weeks ago after hitting a plateau. I teach at a very small school so I don't do as much walking. I am probably standing for about 1/2 the day.
  • Both places have veggie patties you can substitute into any of their burgers... saves you a few hundered calories and I think they're delicious! Not everyone likes them, but they might be worth trying next time you want to splurge on the sides. :-)

  • My husband and I just tried these... AMAZING! We had a huge onion and didn't even use the whole thing to feed both of us. I couldn't get the calories to come out this low, though! The breadcrumbs have a lot of cals. Still, we each had a nice big pile for 143 cals. Totally worth it!!!
