Thanks for the reply - basically I don't want to cause anymore damage to my hair, and my hairdresser is skeptical of doing it too!

Santemulberry - Very interesting what you have to say! I've recently sought holistic guidance, and I've been alerted to the xenoestrogens in my beauty products etc! I thought I was good and using natural products!
-
Naley2322 - Gosh, I never even thought about that regarding my probiotics. I use these ones: http://www.newhealthcare.co.uk/bio-kult-pack-of-120-capsules.html?gclid=CjwKEAjwl7ieBRCK2rCtqcCS7jESJACZKQFKPp7NWyjJN72yb0ASFTAcPJlPEhcFzbebAJUbfMj94RoCXMHw_wcB I'll try that out with the sweet potatoes - thank you :)
-
Naley2322 - this really doesn't bode well for sweet taters - I love them! ItsJordanNico- I'm not taking any specific biotin supplements but I am taking a vegan multi vitamin, so maybe it is that?!
-
Aedreana - I'm really sorry to hear all the issues you have had with anaemia!
-
mallorytravel - I see what you are saying, but some foods can cause changes in one's hormonal balance I believe? I eat so much oil and fat so I'm really suspicious of that now? I'll look into your skincare routine! Mine is very sensitive too. I feel you on the blackheads - I figure spots first, blackheads later?!
-
Naley2322 - I stay WELL away from any dairy; it does exactly the same thing to me! I try to air on the more vegan side anyway, it is only my anaemia that has seen me add more meat into my diet. Strange that 0% fage doesn't break you out? I have been drinking 1 coffee a day lately, so maybe I will cut back on that!…

Santemulberry- interesting! The thing is, if I don't eat grains my carbs just end up being sweet potatoes, which are relatively high in sugar? I agree about traditional diets! Pikiru- I take really good care of my skin :)
-
Archer9304 - I'll check out my zinc intake. I take a multivitamin so I'm hoping it covers that. Cerakoala - my diet actually is very 'clean/healthy', I do eat ALOT of fat though?
-
Aedreana - wow I've never heard of/known anyone to have followed a vegan diet for that long! One of the many reasons why I have yet to follow a vegan diet 100% is the potential deficiencies one can encounter. I'm so sorry to hear all the ills you have encountered! The fatigue is really hitting me - to the extent I'm over…
-
Hi everyone - thanks for all the tips! Healthyhappier- my Dr actually diagnosed me recently and told me to take a supplements. He said I was 'mildly anaemic'. I think I eat enough b12 containing products to be okay with that? I've just stopped drinking tea (I was basically drinking it throughout the day and with every…

Thanks for the reply! :) I literally went through 4000+ calories of food trying to find the craving! I tend to like salty and fatty though. Thanks for the reassurance too.

Bodymedia's are known to overestimate around 10% I believe? Couldn't it also be that our bodies get used to a certain calorie intake and when increasing you might see a small initial rise (glycogen) but after that you will maintain?
-
Bumping this. I'm trying to go into my fitbit maintenance. I burn around 2300 on average but I don't add weight lifting calories to that. I've upped to around 2000 calories and not gained, or lost. I'm pretty lean already. I get hungry still on these calories so I'm unsure if my maintenance will be 2300+ or not!
-
Been there - not fun!!! It's not even necessarily not eating enough, it can be too much cardio/stress on the body overall that causes it - along with low body fat!
-
You aren't overreacting at all! It sounds like it could be stress on your body caused by a large weight loss in a short space of time. How many calories are you eating? Definitely go to the drs!
-
Which pill are you on now (if you don't mind me asking?)? I went on progesterone for my amenorrhea and I gained weight whilst on it however I believe it is merely water retention. As soon as I went off it my weight was actually lower than normal. If you are on a progesterone tablet then the scale might go up as it is…

You look so good! So inspirational!
-
You probably aren't losing as you are eating too few calories and are below your bmr
-
It could be that your overall deficit is actually too high. 1300 calories is definitely less than your bmr
-
This is so great to here! Im worried im in the same situation regarding metabolism. I decreased exercise and increased calories and haven't gained either. Im still not equalling my bmf though. It will be interesting to hear your further updates!
-
I've got one but still too scared to believe the numbers on it! I think a lot of people trust them though!
-
Im the same. Dont know which to trust!
-
On days that I lift my bodymedia records the higher number (not adding activity to my fitbit) considerably whereas on rest days where i do a lot of walking my fitbit can be slightly over. I'd say bmf is more accurate.
-
Do you find it accurate?
-
Hi, I've just got a bodymedia too! I'm trying to build muscle so actually eat in surplus but if these number are right I have a lot of eating to do!
-
Rmhand-ill check those out! My carbs are around 270g a day! Deb3129- I'm so happy for you recovering from it! I eat a really 'clean' diet which makes it more annoying! Plus all my favourite foods are dairy. Boo! Peppermint really helps then? Great! Does anyone have any veggies that trigger it?
-
No i'm not trying to lose weight, actually looking to gain muscle so ibs ruins eating for that ha! Interesting about the overeating though! if i ate by my ibs hunger i would be significantly under my maintenance.
-
Thanks for the advice! I actually am gluten free due to this. every now and then I'll have shredded wheat and i pretty much explode!
-
Hi, Yes i probably think that is too low. Your bmr is probably higher than 1375 to be honest! 1000 calories ( i personally feel) is too high a deficit. It might take more time, but around 500 would be better for your body and metabolism imho! Also the low carb loss is likely just glycogen/water weight. You dont need to be…
