  • My first one I got just before going travelling to represent a new start. My second one is commemorative of my Gran and Uncle who died within weeks of each other. I want another but not 100% on the design yet.
  • I've put a cap of 13g saturated (bad) fat on my total fat intake of 40g. You want poly- and mono-unsaturated (good) fats e.g. olive oil, nuts, avocado's. But to answer your question I would aim to eat as much good fat as you possibly can. I don't know your macro intakes but I would say 90% unsaturated to 10% saturated.
  • Do you think they are more supportive than full leg compression leggings?
  • British Military Fitness - ok so its a range of exercises but it works my *kitten* off (literally, i need to start working on getting it back) and means i don't have to do any thinking and i get pushed far more than i would ever push myself in the gym
  • The main 2 causes of shin splints are a)incorrect footwear for your running style and b) too much too soon If its a), go and get your running style analysed and some decent new trainers, its worth investing. If its b) take it easy I don't like to rest completely when mine flare up so I use KT tape to help support them,…
  • I love any food or diet programs, from Come Dine With Me, Man V Food, to Secret Eaters (so delusional!) , but my favourite is Fat:Fight of my life with the god Jessie Pavelka. He's gorgeous!
  • That's good to hear. Enjoy the TM! :)
  • I weigh everything dry, so I'm very glad they put it on the back of the packet!
  • my personal favourite is the sausage egg and cheese bagel, pre dieting days. However I might try and fit one in now I'm following IIFYM!
  • We do get the big breakfast in the UK :)
  • I personally haven't, but I know a fair few who have done the UK ones and they've all really enjoyed it. I tore my medial ligament skiing and ran a half marathon 5 months later thanks to a brilliant physio who got my knees stronger than they've ever been. Take it easy on your knee :) Are you having any physiotherapy? Mine…
  • I'm ok with eggs as long as I doctor them first. I have to remove the disgusting little white thing that joins the yolk to the egg like a mini umbilical cord. Then i can eat it!
  • Cottage cheese/Quark Avocados Prawns Mushrooms Swede Yukky! I really wish I liked cottage cheese or quark but I just can't stomach it.
  • Number 2. is especially important - When I started using digital scales instead of my old ones/guessing I found I was grossly underestimating the weight of some foods and overestimating others.
  • I don't eat mine back. But I've calculated my calorie deficit based on the fact I do 3 work outs a week, so I add them to my diary but I don't eat back the extra calories. Are you positive you burned 1000 calories? I think MFP and gym machines overestimate the amount of calories burnt. Using a heart rate monitor and…
  • Don't stress about the breakfast this morning. In order to diet successfully you need to take control of social situations involving food. So you need to be firm with your family and friends; its your decision what you put in your body. I know its tough, I have just been through the same thing, but once you have stood your…
  • Thanks, your diary was really helpful :) I've upped my goal calories to 1300 this week and then I'll move up to 1400 in a couple of weeks. I don't think I can realistically stick to a ketogenic diet, eating healthily as I am has been a massive challenge! I was such a junk food addict... I'll leave my macro's as they are…
  • Thanks humanot. Its a huge change in my macros! 1195 kcal Daily Calorie Intake 50 g Carbohydrates (17%, 200 kcal) 80 g Protein (27%, 320 kcal) 75 g Fat (56%, 675 kcal) Does that sound OK?
  • Hi :) I do outdoor military bootcamp and I tend to wear: sealskinz waterproof fleece gloves, headband for my ears, long sleeved top with short sleeved top over, and compression leggings. That's plenty for me, I find the headband and gloves make the biggest difference to warmth. I'm in the UK though and it's not really got…
  • I'm the same, its just crept up on me this year. I have 24lb to lose and aiming to lose 1.5lb a week so it should take me until about April. I have sent you a friend request :o) We just have to bite the bullet and crack on with it!
  • Me too! 150lbs currently, goal is 125.
  • I'm just using up the Cookies and Cream flavour of the Holland and Barratt Precision range. I don't think it tastes that chemically (not sure which flavours you tried) but it doesnt really taste like cookies and cream either. I've ordered a couple from MyProteinWorks as it seems to have good reviews online, excited for…
  • 25 :o) , I use MFP to record my macro intake each day. Aiming to burn fat and gain muscle using combination of cardio and lifting and no cake! Support definitely welcome, particularly from girls who lift
  • I have done a fair amount of background reading into fasting and the health benefits of fasting (not starving) are what made Intermittent fasting appeal to me, although the weight loss is an obviously a bonus! 24 hours isn't enough to put your body into starvation mode, particularly if you follow the 5:2 diet and consume…
