excellent summary! The one I fall down in is probably macro-nutrient intake. I started really well and now I eat a bit randomly (but still under calories). To know I'm knocking everything off that list in some way is a nice feeling. This motivates me to address the eating part again.

Is it hard for you to stay motivated when the losses aren't obvious over time?

I'd like to do a bit of weight lifting. I have started with body weight exercises such as dips, push-ups, body weight squats etc. Once I can do 5 full push-ups in a row, I'm going to move over to basic free weights. Last time I got into it, I injured my shoulder... so slow and steady :)

Suffered an injury over the weekend with some epic soreness at the base of my spine. After vigorous massage and a "click" into place I had a lot of relief. I'm wearing a heart rate monitor and exercising for up to an hour at a time. I think my numbers are fairly high as I'm unfit. Over time I expect the numbers to stabilise to show my increase in fitness, especially in RPM.

I was a bit obsessed with chocolate/chai protein chia pudding at some point! Now I use them sometime to replace eggs in any food I plan to freeze. They gel up really nice when wet which can help bind things in your normal recipes. You can google it.

Thanks, I just had a look at that thread. I like the "7 inches from shoulder" tip and also, measuring at your belly button. Perhaps I will tape a photo to my mirror to help with the placement of the tape. I use a tailors tape too! Do you measure every week?
