I've been cutting to get to comp weight. Started at 215 lbs about 3 months ago, down to 201.6. Need to be under 198.4 by April 8.

Amen. Peanut butter, on the other hand, is great.

I took a week off tracking, logging and specific exercise while on vacation and I had no problem getting right back to it now that vacation is over.

I don't understand your question. Discount what water weight? Side note: I'm nearly 48, 5'9 and can lose on 1700-1800 calories. I am pretty active, but 1340 seems extremely low. Did you set your weight loss goal to 2 lbs per week? I'd move it to 1 lb per week and get some more calories so you are more able to stick to the…

A full sleeve of Oreos and a giant glass of ice-cold milk.

Doubling down on this! You change your life by changing your habits. Start small. What is one small thing you can do that will move you toward your goals? Maybe commit to a 10 minute walk every day, replace one soda with water, or add a serving of vegetable to one meal. Once that thing becomes a habit, then pick one new…

Welcome! High protein with no veggies may make it hard to meet your goals. What do you not like about veggies? I've found there are veggies I like now that I didn't like as a kid because my mom wasn't a great cook (sorry, Mom). Get adventurous! Try new things! You may find things you never thought you'd like. I'm looking…

Welcome! What goals are you trying to achieve using this app?

If you just started lifting, your muscles may be retaining water for repair and that could be masking fat loss. Read the article in the first post of this thread. It's gold. https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10683010/the-weird-and-highly-annoying-world-of-scale-fluctuations/p1

I weigh in daily and log it in a weight tracker app - that smooths out the fluctuations and shows the trend. But I like the daily feedback. I know that the morning after spaghetti or pizza, I'll be up 2-3 pounds, but it will taper back off. I know I jump about 2 pounds during ovulation and menstruation and those pounds…

Welcome! Here's to new starts!

So, this happened. 410 lb deadlift. https://youtube.com/shorts/z26YuOQvhiI?feature=share

Welcome! Sounds like you know what to do and now have time to do it!

That looks really good. Their old Oatmeal Cookie flavor was one of my favorites! I was so sad when they discontinued it.

Sounds like sensible goals! Welcome back!

I save 200-300 calories for some chocolate every night. Because I learned a long time ago that if I try to completely cut chocolate out of my diet, I freak out and binge. And it's not fancy chocolate. Just regular drug-store candy bars. I'm easy.

Personal preference. Some people figure 100 g or less is considered low-carb. Some people believe you have to be lower than that. Ultimately, calories are what cause weight loss. So set your carbs at something sustainable for you without shorting your protein and fat. I personally have a hard time sustaining if I set my…

I regained almost immediately after stopping using it. I did not modify my day-to-day diet or learn new ways of eating. I went back to eating the way I had before, once I had an appetite again. Shocker, I gained all the weight back.

Filters are for coffee!!! I'm totally stealing that. Welcome!

Welcome back!

That's fantastic! Welcome back.

Make small sustainable changes. Don't try to do everything all at once. Set one goal - eat three servings of veggies, or get in a 10 minute walk every day, or whatever. Once that goal is habit, then set another goal. Rinse and repeat.

Do you lift?

Your streak continues as long as you just log into the app for the day. You don't have to enter food or close out your diary. So I just log in quickly each morning, and then add stuff later in the day as needed.
