just go for a bike ride or a walk... and then the M&M's aren't too much of a bust :) I am all for small treats :)

I get hungry while cooking too and so yesterday while I was preparing dinner, I ate 1 serving of some peanuts and drank a bottle of water. It helped me satisfy the hunger and i did not eat nearly as much for supper because I wasnt ravenous

I know the feeling... I'm positive that my inches are "shrinking" but my scale isn't budging.
-
hey every calorie burned is important :) lol
-
well according to fitday... sexual intercourse taking moderate effort for 30 minutes would burn 41 calories.... interesting, lol

That is an awesome question. Eagerly waiting for the answer...

you're doing awesome, 46 pounds is incredible and your beautiful smile says it all!! Keep up the good work... today is the start of a NEW day :)

I have enjoyed running for the past 10 years, it's my preferred form of exercise. In the past 5 years I have had 3 children and so I have faced this same dilemma quite often. Usually I just build myself back up gradually. At my healthiest and most athletic I was running roughly 5 miles a day. After my 2nd child I got back…

I would have been upset too if I had made a special meal. My husband will eat like that (fast food half way through the day and ruin his dinner). ((HUGS)) Vent all you need to, whether someone on here agrees or not, you need a place to let it out. Only you fully know your situation.

I'm in!!!!

I agree, I'm in!!!!! My goal, no jiggly thighs for the spring break bathing suit starting weight: 161 goal: 140 and toned!!!!

I'm trying to shed baby weight also. My 3rd baby is just 4 months old and my oldest baby will be 5 so my kiddos are pretty close together. I remember after having my daughter (my 1st), I just dropped the weight. It was so easy!! After my oldest son (my 2nd baby), the weight lingered!! And this time around it's more of a…

I'm definitely not going to go over my calories for the day. I'd have to eat an 800 calorie or more meal to go over. I'm so not going to do that. I'm going to stick to 400-600 for dinner and that'll put me almost exactly where I should be for the day.

thanks for the link all the healthier choices sound really yummy YAY for not having to blow my good week :)
-
oh my... kstefanski... I would have my hubby's head on a stick if he was saying stuff w/o thinking like that!!! lol, Seriously, that IS frustrating! I'm glad I'm not alone in feeling this way. Not that I don't want my husband to be healthy, because I do but I just wish his "healthy" made him a little bigger than me so that…

you're not a "dummy", just had a brief moment off the weight loss wagon. ((HUGS)) compensate by jumping right back on for dinner. don't let it get you down, just go back to your healthier choices and smaller portions.
-
lol... no it doesn't sound bad because I completely understand what you mean. I don't think people are looking at me and thinking "gee she's fat" but when they look at him and say "you're so thin"... I feel like it's implied that I'm not. Whatever.... I know HE thinks I'm hot :) lol, so I guess that's good.

cool, that's what I am hoping, that they have a healthy list or something I'll keep those in mind. Definitely good ideas about the egg subs and choosing the veggies, etc And definitely no matter what I get, I'm going to make sure I only eat half. They always give such gigantic portions at restaurants!
-
I know what you mean!! People say all the time, dang you have a small waist (to my husband) and I'm just like "gawwww" I know he's got a small waist. After having 3 babies I am not sure if anyone well ever look at me and consider me "small" again.
-
I had my son 4 months ago and people have started saying "you're really shedding that baby weight" and my response has been "thanks, it's hard work"
-
well first of all, I hate diets and love food too. So I refuse to think of this as a "diet" but rather a change. I'm eating lots of yummy foods that I enjoy that are just better for me (like yogurt and fruit). For me it's the sweet stuff that I crave so I have healthy alternatives to pigging out on Oreo's. Instead I have…

I typed in "breast-feeding" in the excercise but it came up empty. How would I add it in? I imagine if it's 500 calories burned for someone that is Bfing full-time that mine is probably burning much less at maybe 200-250. So do I just add that extra 250 into my daily amount?
-
I understand completely. It takes a lot of effort here too to not eat that "bad" stuff, especially when the kids are eating a snack and my skinny husband can eat what he wants and actually needs to GAIN weight. But we can do it!! It make take a lot of determination but determined effort is good for the soul :)

thanks :) I've already learned a lot just by reading others posts. I think the accountability of this site. I have lost weight after my previous children w/o this kind of accountability but imagine that having this site will make this go around a lot easier!

I imagine that it could be possible, my problem is the other way around. I am losing inches but my weight isn't really moving. I can tell I'm losing inches because my clothes are getting loose but the scale isn't dropping any. :ohwell:
