I personally don't buy clothes before I can fit into them, however I see you are using that as a motivational tool. Of course now all my clothes are way to loose... Now I have to buy a completely new wardrobe.

I have not noticed too much of a difference in taste, I guess because I'm not concentrating on the taste.

2.5 miles is more than I can do. Who cares about the time as long as you are working at it. If you are sweating, breathing, and your heart is working at a good pace then GREAT JOB.

I use the furniture at home. I bench press my coffee table which is not only heavy but very awkward. I do push-ups with my feet up on the coffee table as well. In my back yard I have one of those huge tractor tires that I push around and hammer on with a big sledge hammer. Squats are a great way to add mass to your legs…

When I hit the gym it is total ***ME*** time. I don't go to socialize. I get to workout at my pace and do my favorite exercise. I do not listen to music or read on the treadmill. I focus on me. Internal and external. I review. I think. I ponder. And when I leave the gym I feel great!

Just let it go. Everyone has an opinion on exercise and you know what they say about opinions... Do what you believe is right. Do your own research and educate yourself.
