Keep moving forward... Nothing can stop you from living the life you want for yourself and accomplishing more goals than you can imagine... Inspirational indeed...

That's a great start.. Do you have a plan for how to deal with the holiday temptations? I decided to start cutting at after the holidays because of it... lol

They are small but numerous... Unfortunately, because I have not bared any children and don't experience much discomfort beyond the bloating, cramping, and digestive issues, my doctors will only monitor them... So surgery is not an option at this time...

Agree w/hmjohnsom25... Neither MFP or the machine are accurate regarding calories burned... Only a good HRM would be as close to accurate as you can get...

Hey there... My current goal for my first bikini competition is on April 6th NPC open national qualifier... I'd like to get my body fat down to 15% with my current IIFYM diet plan and 6 day a week workouts..

I would say, as far as workouts are concerned, you're about light to moderate... Depends on the amount of exertion you're using during your workouts.
-
You'll be back to your regularly scheduled program in a few short weeks... Just take it easy and step it up at a moderate pace each day. Rest when your body is asking for it, sleep, eat right, and try to abstain from the booze if you can... :)

Love my HRM... Use it to track my cardio and weight training... Best way to estimate how much exertion I'm putting forth for my workouts and to be sure I'm staying within my zones..

Absolutely astonishing!!! :-D

Thanks for the info everyone... I was able to reset my macros to my specific goals... :)

I totally agree with your assessment. I think the key to participating in group classes is variety. Also, you should definitely do your own strength/cardio training a few times a week, in addition to group classes. Once a class becomes too repetitive/monotonous and yes, this will eventually occur, it's time to find a new…

Absolutely FABULOUS!!! Congrats on making through to your one year mark and staying committed to your health and well-being...

Sorry for the late response everyone... Seems I can't set the settings to my exact macros... I'll try out the workaround and see how that goes... I played around with the percentages a bit and was able to get them in the ball park, however, when I exercise, the percentages increase and don't stay where I'd like them to…

Early riser here so I break my breakfast down into sections for what activities I have going on that morning: Typical workweek (morning workout) 5:45 - Glowing Green Smoothie 7:45 (After workout) - Organic Protein Shake 9:00 - Coffee Weekend is usually an egg white omelet with veggies and 1 slice of rustic multi-grain bread

Chin up! I think what you have to keep in mind is that this journey is an individual commitment to yourself and your health.. There will be times when you will get much encouragement and support and other times that you have to grit and bare it all alone... It's a life lesson that is difficult but you have to find the will…

New York, NY!!! The weather is just beginning to cool down baring down for the Fall... Beautiful time of the year to begin running outside again...

At the moment, I"m only using Nutiva Organic Hemp Protein mixed with either fat free milk or almond milk (preferably almond) post workout. Waiting to see how this goes, then taking it from there... Any suggestions for pre-workout?

Good Morning Ladies... Just doing a quick check in to say hello and offer any help/advice to anyone in need... Sticking well to my 2 week goals so far (fingers crossed). The weight is melting off and I'm proud to say I'm making forward progress by monitoring my food intake more carefully and significantly cutting out…

Cut back on simple carbs and alcohol... Noticed I'm not as bloated and handling business (you guys know what I mean) a lot easier... lol

Fantastic results! As far as toning is concerned, the only ways to do that is through weight training.. you can lift weights or use body weight exercises to help you along. . Go on YouTube, there are a lot of great tutorials on body weight exercises you can do at home... good luck! :-)

Thanks for the warm welcome Abigail... :) It's nice to have a good support group on this journey... I was just reading about your fitness schedule how to work in some strength training.. Might I suggest using one of your cardio days as a weights/lift day and seeing how that works? On the lift/weights day, you can adjust…

Morning Everyone... I'm new to the group and I would like to share my 2 week challenge goals... 1. Get consistent 5 day a week workouts 2. Walk more on the weekends 3. Keep drinking to only one day on the weekend The last one I struggle with as that's what most people I'm around do on the weekend... Hoping to make this a…

I concur with MrsSchimmy... I think you'll need to clarify your question a bit more to get a concise answer... Personally, I don't use cardio machines besides spinning much these days, but just about any cardio machine will give your legs a good work out, if you utilize tension and speed in high intensity intervals...…

Awesome sauce!! Keep it going!!

MAZEL!!! You're doing wonderfully... Keep it going!! :)

PMS is a B!!! I'm moody, crampy, constantly hungry, and generally find it hard to move my body, let alone work out... However, it doesn't stop me from hitting the gym or at least trying to eat slightly healthy.. For the most part, I just listen to what my body wants and if it wants rest (time permitting) I'll rest, if it…

I concur... Sometimes you have to separate from those that don't offer the support you deserve and find people that are more like minded in your journey. It doesn't mean your friendship has to end, so much as you have to change your expectations of them. Not everyone is going to understand what you're going through, nor…
