I'm on the exact same day as you Sid, and I'm feeling totally beat up too! I'm feeling especially beat up in my shoulders and quads! Keep pushing! We can do it!

Hi! Congrats on completing 3 weeks of Insanity. It's a tough program! Here are suggestions that really help me stick with Insanity. 1) Do another program before completing Insanity. I completed Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred before starting Insanity. It helped me build the strength I needed to perform Insanity moves. Also,…

Yes, great results! This is my second attempt to finish Insanity. I started it about a year ago, but only made it through week 7 because I was having trouble fitting it in with my school schedule. I'm finishing week 5 (recovery week) tomorrow and I am determined to finish this time! I did see results the first time…

Hi! Check out Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) calculation in MFP forums or Google TDEE. Understanding TDEE helped me learn a lot about calorie counting. For the first three weeks of Insanity (I'm finishing up week 5 this Saturday), I was eating ~1200-1300/day. I've since upped my calorie intake to 1600/day, the extra…

It's a lot of little things, most recently, the switch to whole wheat pasta! Great topic BTW!

I'm currently doing an Insanity/Killer Buns & Thighs hybrid. I'm about three weeks into it. Level 2 of KB&T is so good! I'm sore all over again! Good luck!

Hi! Like another person said above, many factors contribute to hair loss, including thyroid issues, hormone imbalances (e.g., androgen excess), and nutritional deficits. These are relatively easy things to rule out, so it's definitely worth a trip to your doc!

Great! Thanks!

I'm starting Month 2 tomorrow. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I do Insanity each day before school (med school year 1), mostly because I will make excuses for myself if I wait to do it in the afternoon or evening. I have not missed a workout yet! Additional perks to morning exercise: I start my day feeling productive and therefore, I am inspired to work hard all day! Also, I'm so…

Hi! I'm not following the diet meal by meal, but rather trying to follow the recommended percentages of macronutrients (40% carbs, 40% protein, 20% fats). I eat lots of oatmeal, egg whites, cottage cheese with fruit and green veggies. Most days, I go a bit over in carbs and a bit under in protein, but I've still seen some…

I'm working through the Insanity workout program (just started week 5), which is roughly 45 minutes of intense cardio exercise 6 times a week. Each morning, about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes prior to working out, I eat a small bowl of oatmeal with a touch of brown sugar & milk and a cup of coffee. This gets me through the…

I agree, you can definitely see a difference in your lower body. Great job and keep at it! I keep reading online that month 2 is where you really start seeing results.

Hi Lundil, Just want to say this right off the bat: I'm only 25. However, I didn't feel like I was ready for Insanity, so I did Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred first (although 30 DS has it's intense moments too). 30DS helped me shed a few pounds and build some strength and endurance, which made me feel more confident…

I like Silk Pure Almond Original as opposed to the Vanilla or Unsweetened flavors. The Original is still sweet and tastes great in coffee, oatmeal, or by itself as a snack. Plus, it's low cal and has lots of calcium! Just make sure your are getting protein somewhere else in your diet, since Silk almond milk only contains 1…

Thanks for sharing your story. You look absolutely amazing!

Me too! I just completed level one day 10 yesterday and started level 2 today. Level 2 definitely worked the arms and abs a bit more for me.

I went swimming today. I always forget that not only is it a good workout, but that if feels so good on a hot day!

I just finished day 8 of part 1. Like you, I was so stiff after day 3, but after day 5, all the soreness went away. Part 1 looks easy at first glance, but I was a sweaty mess 10 minutes in. What I like about this workout is that the moves themselves are pretty simple, meaning they don't require a dance background and can…

Found the group! Let's do this!

This is my exact goal! Have you already created the group? I just finished Day 7 Part 1 of Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. If anyone is looking for a quick and effective workout, 30DS is definitely the way to go.
