  • Carson Daly (look alike)--- First thing I thought when I saw the picture! It's the eyes!
  • I also work 7p-7a... and I too track from MN to MN breaking it down in 4 hour segments. Doing it this way helps me graze through the night and reminds me that I should be eating small frequent snacks/meals... Make sure that you are eating good foods (pack a bag ahead of time if possible to keep you away from take out and…
  • In theory, bras are only really supposed to be good for about 6 months IF you take care when washing them, etc. Then they start stretcing out and lose their supportiveness. How quickly are you losing? And how much further do you have to go? I find that a well-fitting bra makes me feel SO much better about how my clothes…

  • Hubby is about 4-5 inches shorter than me (depending on shoes and the time of day); been together 13 years next month. At first it was a little weird to me, I always assumed I'd be with someone my Dad's size (6'4"0. Then I went through the "feeling like Amazonian arm candy" phase and loved it! If you like him, GO FOR IT!…
  • I hadn't really thought about it much but now that you mention it... YES! My husband is 5'8" and kinda stout through the shoulders. When we were dating, I was much more willowy and liked the looks we got as a couple. I felt like arm candy... now I feel like I belong in a scene from Deuce Bigalow. Lately I've even gotten to…
  • A smidge over 6' at 231.5 pounds = size 20 (a.k.a. "too big for my liking") Hoping to be back in a 14 or so when I hit my goal weight at 180lbs.
  • A hair over 6' barefoot... Currently weigh in at 231.5 lbs and am hoping to get down to about 180. I was 170ish in high school and thought "Bleh! I'm so fat!" Puh-leeze! :) I wear a 16 on my top half, 20 on my bottom half and my shoe size is 12 1/2 (narrow... try finding running shoes for that! lol) I work night shift-12…
  • I found that changing my "meals" to 4 hour time segments has helped, that way you have a titled column for everything even though you may eat "lunch" at 2am some days! (MN-0400, 0401-0800, 0801-1200, 1201-1600, 1601-2000, 2001-MN)
  • I had edemame ('steamed from frozen' soy beans), small serving of ravioli (Buitoni chicken and mushroom marsala), salad with light italian dressing, a Fresca and a 100 calorie pack of Keebler fudge shop cookies. Now granted, I'm just starting so I haven't gotten bored with my foods quite yet, but they have some really…

  • Does late 20's count? I'm sooo unmotivated during this holiday season! I need a real kick in the pants. I'm 28 yrs old and 6 feet tall. I started at 221 and am hovering around 199 now...but still have about 25 pounds or so to go. Help! I've been training for a half marathon in January and I'm super excited about it but the…

  • Pilates is awsome for posture and abdominal tightening...the thing is that you have to stabilize your core the whole time...you'd be surprised what it'll do for your posture and what your posture will, in turn, do for you abs.

  • My weakness is Famous Amos chocolate chip cookies which is TOTALLY a rip off! They are so small so you'd think you could wipe out a few and be ok...but alas, a serving is 4 cookies...FOUR!!! What kind of crap is that? I can eat the whole freaking box and you'll only let me have 4....are you insane?

  • I'd say good luck, but to me it's only necessary when there's the possibility you won't succeed...and that just won't happen! Get started, girl

  • Thanks for the warm welcome! And yes, 11 pounds in one week is a lot...i was exaggerating a little. I apologize :-) It was the frustration taking over. lol I've changed my food diary to 4 hour segments instead of "meals" and "snacks" and i try to eat every couple of hours when I'm awake...i guess we'll see how it goes! How…
