Mar 5, 2024—150.8 Im back on low carb. Eating lots of salads. Lots of chicken breasts. Lots of salmon, but cutting that back to 2 times a week. I invested in some portion containers for things like dressing, sunflower seeds, sugarless jello, etc.

Hi all. Today was the official day one for me. I weighed in at 151.1 this morning and I am doing very low carb for a plan. I am also now walking 10,000 6 days a week. Today was my day to take it easy. I only got in 3000 steps. See ya'll tomorrow.

I have gained back a few and my doctor is wants to see the blood pressure down a bit...so here we go Weight: Nov 10, 153.2 Nov 11, 152.3 I am losing most of this doing low carb/high protein, and then maintaining on Mediterranean. Accountability is the answer for me.

The reason I do low carb, is because I can eat if I am hungry. I have tried almost every diet out there and just cant last long if I cant eat when I am hungry.

I will be at the end of my 2 weeks on Sunday. I have lost 8 lbs so far. It is coming off slower for me due to my age I think but still, its coming off. Im thrilled to be seeing lower numbers. The first few days are hard, no doubt about it. Hang in there and it will be worth it.

I drink water. At least 64 oz a day. My loss slows down as soon as I add anything with sugar alcohols in it.

Hi, The only thing I ever measure is my veggies or something I know has a few carbs. If I am hungry, I eat. I keep things around for snacks like deviled eggs, tuna fish that is made up with mayo, etc. There are lots of sites that can suggest allowable snacks...there is no reason to go hungry. Over the years and my time on LC, when I have stalled it was due to not enough fat, not enough water and just not enough eating. I would say up your fat and water and check again for hidden sugars.

I used to do this too. But why not if you are going to binge...binge out on exercise? We always think of food first for rewards and such.

I think I am going to have to toss in my 2 cents worth on this one. I think it is much more important to eat foods with fiber and low sugar for my calories than to just eat a calorie. Yes she is steadily gaining even though she has been staying very close to her goal. This is what has her so very frustrated. She cant exercise due to extreme pain due to her weight.

She has talked to her doctor and all she was told is to eat under 1500 calories. I have been trying to help her but I feel like if the meds are making her gain then she is going to have to eat less calories.

Yep...we have evolved right into very over weight obese humans. Our bodys are NOT dealing well with all the grains, fats , sugars that were here years ago...even 100 years ago. Our grandparents had to actually squeeze an orange for orange juice...
